Hi all I have a friend who has a 6021 controller. I recently installed a Marklin Sound Decoder 60987 into an electric locomotive for him, his first sound locomotive. Using my Central Station 2, I have programmed the decoder so that the successive addresses can be used, eg address 24, 25, 26, 27. These successive addresses should allow the 6021 controller to access F0 - F15 of the sound decoder. So far, address 24 is the first address, and that operates lights (F0), running sounds (F2), horn (F3) and direct drive (F4), and address 25 is the second address, and that operates only the high horn (F3). There are no sounds on address 26 nor on address 27. Thus far, I am unable to play the other sounds, eg station announcements, whistle, generator, etc using the 6021. Any ideas from the forum members on whether they have had success with this ? Is it important to have the 6021 dip switch settings on a particular setting ? Let me know whether you have succeeded in getting all of the sounds to play using a 6021 controller. Regards John

Hi!
It is important to activate addresses 3 and 4. There are two bits hidden in a bitmap-CV. See CV 49 in the MM CV table. Should also be available in the CS2 under mfx. |

Indeed,
To be more specific: CV49: 7 CV1: 24 CV75: 25 CV17: 26 CV18: 27
This always worked for me.
What also should work in case you use consecutive addresses (like in your case): CV49: 3 CV1: 24
However this did not always work out for me, so I stick with the 1st method and always write CV49 first.
Best regards, Gregor

Hi all Thank you so much for responses from Tom and Gregor. I used my CS2 to change CV49 in the following screen by clicking the 3/4 address radar button which was open to closed : Now all sound functions can be played using the 6021 Controller. Regards John
