Hi, I haven't posted in a long time. I finally got my 7286 turntable on one of my layouts working correctly. However, the unlock function only works when the turntable is turning clockwise. If you go counterclockwise it won't unlock and stops at the next track. Any ideas?

Hi
On the 7286 turntable, there is a feeler that is detecting a track position
Here is the motorization subassembly.
7286 Motor2.jpg
The feeler - when detecting a track position (real one or a possible one) - the latch switches off the motor and blocks it so that there is no "overshoot" (using a clutch)
If the voltage is too high or if the feeler guide is dry / dirty / needs a little lubrication then it can get stuck and the solenoid is not strong enough to disengage it
So 1 check with a lower voltage 12 to 14 VAC, otherwise remove the bridge and clean the motor unit.
Cheers
Jean
