Thanks for the heads up.

The Re 421 will likely be on my list.

Maerklin recommends the 43651 as the coach set to go along with this locomotive.
As the EWIV coaches are only used for domestic services, this locomotive might pull them on a domestic run, but for the international run to Lindau and Munich, the consist would be made up of SBB EC coaches, such as 43671*, 43672 or the coaches from the 29463 or 29511 sets, often available separately on eBay.

* Minus the coaches still in the original grey/black 1990s EC livery.

I see that KTsolias has started a separate thread for this new Re 421 model: https://www.marklin-user...Marklin-37473-Re-421-379

Unless the following picture is a fake, it (almost unbelievably) seems that Märklin has adapted/changed the mold for the 39422 model of the blue SBB Re 4/4 I to reflect the prototypical 1950's construction of the ventilation grilles: https://www.modellbahnsh...2/de/modell_332205.html#

In some early "Handmuster" pictures, the model was shown with the later double row of "Düsenlüftungsgitter" (translation possibly something like jet or nozzle ventilation grilles) which were only introduced in the 1960's when Re 4/4 I 409 / 10009 was no longer blue.

Love the blue on the 39422. Beautiful locomotive.

I am glad to see, if this is the case, that they took my email into consideration.

I am sure that I was not the only one to bring this to their attention.
It seems that they also changed some of the other details on the lok body.

I will start laughing uncontrollably if they bring out the 43410 in blue as a Summer New Item though.

Best regards
