Regards Mike C Well, if they manage to finally release the BLS Be 6/8 announced years ago, that would be great news! In Nuremberg there was a sample that seemed to be the final version (or at least the final prototype) but again it was also the case in 2019... Cheers! Tudor

Hi Guys,
Just for my own understanding, where exactly are the ACME models manufactured?
Cheers...

ACME is a Milano, Italy based company. The models are designed in Europe, but are built in various facilities in China, including, but not limited to Run-East Precision Model Company. Initially, the company was allied with LS Models, RailTop and Heris and was producing the models through Heris at Modern Gala and Run East. Following the split from Heris and then from LS Models, the company has maintained connections with the producers in China and no longer depends on other companies to get it's models made.
There have been some rumours that ACME would begin some European production, but I have not seen confirmation of this.
Regards
Mike C

Regards Mike C Hello Mike, Do you have additional information regarding the BLS Be 6/8 locomotives from ACME by any chance? From what I've seen, some models have been released a few months ago in DC under reference 60530 but have been very criticised for very poor construction and nothing since (none of the Digital, Sound or AC locomotives were released)... All the best, Tudor

Should you require additional information regarding ACME models, my recommendation would be to contact the company directly or through the following dealers: Eyro Interlaken www.eyro.ch (speaks English) KML www.kml-log.ch (Swiss distributor) Huenerbein.de (Aachen) I have not ordered the classic BLS Lok because my focus is EraIV-V. Besides, there should be two different versions, with/without front bonnets, but only one was delivered. From ACME pictures, it looks like the two engines have different brown color. Is this real or is it an artifact of the pictures ? Regards

I am also curious about this one, if any of you have heard anything or experienced one. I've been looking forward to the AC variant! |

Regards Mike C Thank you for your reply Mike! Unfortunately there isn't much "official" news, the best I come across is "it should be available soon", but I've heard the same thing from ACME back in January 2019 in Nuremberg... Will have to wait and hope for the best I guess... Cheers! Tudor
