You need to cut both tubes at the same angle, otherwise they won't fit Per. |

Hi, rather, if you know the whole angle the final assembly has to be, then cut the individual tubes half that angle. This way they will meet with no overlap. I just wonder how you are going to connect those after cutting. Please remember to remove all burrs after cutting. Thanks. HANNES

BTW for non Australians, people who live in sunny, beautiful Queensland, are jestfully referred to as "Banana benders". |
Take it easy . . . . or any other way you can get it !!!!

90 degrees required for a corner. Each needs to be cut at 45 degrees.

The tubing was cut that way because my new layout has 2 levels and the top level is a 15 degree offset to the baseboard edge The odd result may be from the mitre saw I used

HANNES I was going to try to clue them but the normal aluminium ended up with a slight curve in it

Thanks Per but I did go to school and do understand a little bit about geometry - A right triangle has one side of 90 degree and the other 2 angles must equal 90 degree - 60/30 45/45 75/15 My father was railway engineer so he made sure I understood this

Yup, we South Aussies are Crow Eaters but West Australians are Sandgropers Tasmanians are people that visit Tasmania, and people born in Tassie (no jokes now ) are Taswegians |

In that case you must ask your money back from the schooling! -Or ask your father again, unless he went to the same school, because in order to loose the overlap EACH PART MUST BE CUT TO THE SAME ANGLE!(*) (*) Unless... that the two parts have different dimensions, in which case the two cutting angles change! |
