I assume the locomotive has been converted to digital. If so, the answer depends on the kind of decoder that was installed. Post photos if uncertain!

Thanks in advance for your fast reply.

It comes with my first "starter set" : Article No.29527 , and still original, it was an delta system.

Can you tell me if it needs any conversion to be used with mobile station 2 ? And what i need to do or buy to convert ?

King Regards
Kyt

Yes, you can use ut with the mobile station 2

try to enter the address 78 manually and use MM protocol. if that don't work you can also try 24, 60, 72

if that not works you need to open the locomotive and look at the dip switches. use the table below

https://www.maerklin.de/fileadmin/media/service/technische_informationen/Codiertabelle2.pdf

you can also take a picture and post it here and we will help you

Yes BPH answer is excellent.
You may have the following addresses:
- 24 for Electrics
- 60 for railcars
- 72 Diesel
- 78 for steamers (DIP 1=ON, DIP 2= OFF, DIP3= OFF, DIP4= OFF
If all switches are OFF then it will work only in analog mode
Cheers
