My wife says: all I'm interested is playing with model trains, which of course is totally wrong: I repair model trains, I buy model trains and I sell model trains and I talk about model trains

My wife would say: not another train and there is a long pause and all you can hear is foot steps fading in the distance, (me leaving the crime scene) did you know young women support their husbands/partner 80% to have a "male toys" hobby its only an issue when you get to an older age, the obsession in a woman increases for you not to have fun, while the obsession in a man decreases, instead of coming through the front door you come through the back door.

Hi John,

I've found the perfect solution for buying my train supplies.

I have a friend whose wife passed away 5 years ago and is concentrating on building his layout. He doesn't care how much it costs and he asks me to order the stuff for him. It comes from Germany to my place in a huge box and I just say it's not for me it's for him. Of course I had a few items for myself and she doesn't know that I'm acquiring my supplies. So find a friend to pass the blame onto. BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin Flapper
Take it easy . . . . or any other way you can get it !!!!

Thankfully, my wife also has a hobby that means packages arriving at our house more or less regularly. So nowadays it's just a (pretend) sigh and a "what have you bought this time". On both sides, that is! BigGrin

my wife seeing I'm not at all happy with my layout and train traffic told me to give up. It is summer after all and why would I want to pass my days inside, she says.
So the other day she suggested we went for fish and chips on the Suffolk coast. We had a nice picnic on the beach, isolated, very relaxing and fun. We managed to see a seal too :-)

She's right, maybe I vocer them up for the summer o dismantle and start afresh in Autumn ? Maybe she' right.

Would that be The Fish & Chip Shop in Aldeburgh? Probably the best fish an' chips in Britain (and I'm from Sussex)!

You all crack me. For a second I thought I was in one of my Amateur Radio forums, and someone was complaining about having to sneak the latest 'acquisition' in this endeavor past the significant other. Laugh

Hi,

Nowadays my wife pretends that she is surprised when MRR stuff arrives.

"Oh it's a delivery from Germany"!!!

She few days later: "Wow... again a package from Germany".
Me: "No... it's from The Netherlands this time". LOL

A package arrived from MSL not long ago. It was sitting just outside the front door but my wife didn't see it. I saw it when I came home from walking the dog. I let the dog into the house from the back door as always. Then I pretended to stay out in the backyard for a few minutes. I walked around the house and made sure I stayed underneath the window sills, just like a police raid in the movies. I pull the package from the front porch while remain hidden. I quickly got back to the back porch and hid the package under the porch furniture. Later when I let the dog out I took the package down to the man's cave and I was home free. Laugh Laugh Laugh
