This is a site I had looked at some years ago and was impressed by their layout and control systems. I hadn't seen it for a long time but last night it popped up on a Youtube search for Swiss model railroads. I also like that it is "Swiss", not a real location but captures the feel of mountain railroading in Switzerland. Not Marklin as it runs on two rail powered from the catenary. Most equipment appears to be HAG which is okay by me, I have some myself.

Unfortunately the owners of this layout have other commitments and any layout videos haven't been seen since 2016, which is a shame.

I've done this (running loco from the overhead system) since the digital system came out in 1984 (than a Märklin overhead system).,it is now running under a Sommerfeldt overhead system and the only part is tricky when you get loco bogies move slightly sideways from their frame.
I may lost 10 pantographs in this period of time but as I've improved the wiring method this number has shrunk dramatically to "0", over the years pantographs have also changed to a more prototypical design, where as the earlier designs (Märklin) had wider wiper and your wiper allowance was more generous, with new pantographs on the market the wiper is authentic and hence a much narrower wiper and this is not the end of i, it also depends whether the panthograph is up in front or the back of a loco which also makes a different especially in curves where the pantograph are slightly in a different spot., meaning, the length of the wire may has to be further reduced to cover both position of the wiper (front & back).
My personal interest was: a.) power is supplied from the overhead system, b.) I can buy DC locos, c.) DC locos didn't have the need of a slider and therefore the wheel arrangement had another powered axle (mainly Roco models), d.) I was able to add another axle with rubber tyres, e.) I've estimated the power of the motor was greater than needed and therefore with more rubber tyres added the loco could carry more weight behind it without being overloaded.
with more improvements over the years when I started producing my own wire construction it was necessary to strengthen the uprights by slightly bending them on both ends by 90° and this resulted in a much more stronger soldering point and at the same time reduced the wire to be separated when handling locos or rolling stock and more work has to be done to change all of the wires (a vast amount has already been done) to this new method, some sections are hardly touched whereas locos or rolling stocks are handled and there is a very slim chance the wires would separate, also my soldering skills have improved
