Hi

My Goliath can lift very easily one car (approx 100g) maybe two.
Two important limits:
- the tipping over when the arm is not raised enough (from 70° to 90° angle with horizontal)
- the sturdiness of the main pivot: because of the very short distance between the two bearing of the main rotating pivot, the rotating frame will bend a little.
Because of the number of cables to the hook and the motor/gearing, the pulling power is enough to lift a small loco (500g?)
On this old video, 5.10 minutes into it, see my Goliath lift a car. This is my former layoutBigGrin

Cheers

Jean

What do you use to link the wire (glue?) to the dowel to lift the car? You make it yourself?

Hi
I made a loop using a wire for sailboats with a square knot hidden under the car and holding it by the buffers
Cheers
