Generally speaking (I am new to trains but I have preordered a couple for this year) how will I know when Marklin ships them to dealers? Or do we just wait for the dealer to call? It would be nice to have a heads up when a loco is inbound.

I ordered the whole IC2 train and loco last summer. They all had the same time frame for delivery (3rd quarter 2019) but I got the loco in the summer, some of the coaches in early fall and most of the rest in late fall. That did not however include the cab control car which supplies power to the cars and holds the decoder to control the lighting functions for the train. That coach is just now in the post and it should come later this week. And 12 months from the predicted delivery time and me getting it is not all that unusual these days and is not even my record wait.
