its a DA 800 with sound and you get a bonus loco as well 3026 with sound and for our SNCF enthusiasts I've thrown in a 231 from ETAT (3317), this was the first time (!!!!) Märklin ever, ever produced a loco and carriages together (baggage car, 1st and 2nd class carriage (1981) |

As this wish was never fully fulfilled: I just stumbled over a pic of a ATSF loco and a DRG&W coach (plus a Burlington loco as a bonus) in a Colorado rail yard - see link below. http://www.westernrailim...nta-Fe-1980s/i-PdvjPQB/A |

P.S.: Not eligible: pix of my own layout. ;o) |

No way, I am impressed ! Got to be yellow, right ? :o) What do you desire to see ?
P.S.: You realize that you are venturing into the dreaded AMTRAK era, don't you? ;o) "While in Amtrak service two of the 300 class F7A's (304L and 315L) and one F7B were repainted into the yellow warbonnet paint scheme, but Amtrak apparently did not like the yellow scheme and no further units were repainted while Amtrak was using the 300 class units." Source: http://www.atsfrr.net/resources/funits/f7-pas.htm Amtrak Texas Chief Streator, Illinois by fourhundredfleet on Flickr - photo by Jim Lewnard Caption: “ATSF F7A 315 leads Amtrak #16, the Texas Chief, at Streator, Illinois, April 22, 1973. The 315 was one of a handful of Santa Fe F units that received the ‘yellow bonnet’ paint scheme. The train consist includes a baggage car, two hi-level coaches, a lounge, a diner, and two Pullman cars.” ATSF F7A 304 hauled freight too. |

Careful what you wish for. :) However, if not for Amtrak we would have no rail passage at all along many of the great mainlines.... I did not know yellowbonnet was used for freight. Very interesting. In or around 1970 I guess any-bonnett was freight-bonnett! Lets see....how about a water tower along a main or branch line, but not at a station or yard? -Brandon |

Water tower along a branch or main line? The caption reads: "Western Maryland passenger trains stops for water. In the later years of steam power, many freight locomotives replenished their fuel supplies right on the main line and visited division point engine terminals only after extended runs." Source: "Track Planning for Realistic Operation" by John Armstrong Does this qualify then? Edited by user 01 October 2016 12:42:11(UTC)

Does this qualify then? Excellent, I had in mind a Western Railroad or two that used this practice, so the surprise all the better. Western Maryland has a historic railroad these days, about 2 hours away from my home :) So now you must notify us of the Goose intended to be located in frantic pursuit :) -Brandon |

How about this one, Tom (2013!)? The "typo" on this Roco 62632 E 18 is in effect that the hood lacks the printing ont the cabn 1 front: Cabin 1 without... ... and cabin 2 with printing.

Leo Just needs someone to revive it with a suitable question. How about a picture of the prototype Br185 in Clariant Livery to revive the thread.

From my searches, it seems a photo of that loco might be as hard to find as rocking-horse dung.
Interesting though.

I've seen prototype locos on videos without a number in front (SBB & BLS = Re 460/465)
I'll send a photo with 2 different road numbers on a BR E 194.

How about a photo of a DSB MR pulling a mail sorting car (Pcm?), but not the photo from Ringkobing?

Is an MR a 2/3 car diesel multiple unit passenger set? Why would it be hauling a mail car? Kimball |

Hi, if you mean why was it hauling a mail car, it was because they were the only regular train going to the more remote areas. The only photo I've ever been able to find is from its last run stopping in Ringkobing, which happens to be my home town. I'm too young to have remember having seen that though, if I did. |

Only 10 of class89? This is 89 080; so someone must be wrong. Have you never heard about the numbers 11-80; extended version for long distant trains. This loco is an insult for eyes. |

Can anybody post a photo of the longest "lokzug" (locomotive only) consist that they have ever run on their layout?
The reason that there are no prototype photos of the Clariant Re 482 is that the locomotive is only used in tunnels and at night.
