Is anyone on this forum also a member of Zcentralstation?

When I tried yesterday to connect to it via Trainini all I got was this message

This site can’t be reached www.zcentralstation.com’s server IP address could not be found.

several weeks ago I did connect with it and registered but then got the following
Greetings Fohlenbrukke,
Thank you for applying for registration with us. We have
received your request and we will process it as soon as you
confirm your email address by clicking on the following
hyperlink:

But, having done so, nothing happened , which leads me to think there's a ghost web site out there
still responding 'cos no one has switched it off

Is this forum defunct? I would welcome advice

It seems to be that this website is out of order, as it happened before already.

Yes it is a long time ago, but it might happen. And please do not forget, if there is only one single administrator responsible for a website and he left - by whatever reason - his business, that was it. When the payed period at the provider is over, the provider shut the website offline. No money, no service.

Same can happen by marklin-users.net. There we have only one webmaster, but fortunately 4 moderators. I hope that all of them do have access to the internet provider. Otherwise for marklin-users.net we all get the same experience as you get by zcentralstation.com now. I guess, you do not have any other address of the webmaster to get in touch with him?

Well, for our webmaster at marklin-users.net I do, thanks for the marklin-users.net webmaster wagon.BigGrin

You still make your own words and abbreviations, while at the same time complaining

You're still the only one desperately trying to rename this forum to "MUN" or "The marklin-users.net club" LOL

marklin-users.net is only a short distance from being MUNted....

Munted is common slang for something that is broken, not working or FUBARed.

Normally we refer to marklin-users.net as users.net or m-users.net, but never marklin-users.net....

If you want to call the forum 'MUN', well that's your choice but not everyone will understand what you're talking about.

Unfortunately my dictionary does not know slang words.

Oh sorry, I did not know. But I also could not find this abbreviation "users.net" in our topic

"marklin-users.net community | Forum » Site specific stuff » Some tips and instructions » Dictionary of Abbreviations"

I corrected it and inserted marklin-users.net for "Märklin-user.net community" in our "Dictionary-of-Abbreviations"

https://www.marklin-user...Abbreviations#post590556

BTW - inside there I found twice the abbreviation MS for mobile station. But nothing about MU for a mobile unit - sorry.Blink Flapper BigGrin.

I find it strange that you didn't know this, since I've told you several times.

Why? Blink It's your crazy idea to invent new abbreviations for our forum, and only you are using it. Flapper

There exists thousands of abbreviations you won't find on that list, many of them used all over the world every day
and understood by everybody, like e.g. "Mr", "Mrs", "CEO" etc........... LOL

https://abbreviations.yo...-used-abbreviations.html

MU is commonly used in the railroad community and the model railroad community:

Back to the original question. The website seems to be available today (April 11, 2019).

These Vikings keep on attacking Scotland. We keep our Marklin locos safe when the long ships are sighted. Never mind locking up our daughters ...Marklin is more important.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

<Off-topic>

I completely understand that the site name takes a bit longer to type and wears out your keyboard, so abbreviations are a natural thing to invent...

marklin-users.net is in upper case letters, and has nothing to do with marklin-users.net, m-users or even marklin-users.net since the site name does not use upper case letters neither in the logo nor the site title...

So technically and grammatically marklin-users.net is actually completely wrong in all ways... Only the spelling is "somewhat ok"... BigGrin

Maybe the official short form for the forum name should be m-u.n c|F... BigGrin RollEyes LOL

</Off-topic>

Now back to the Zcentralstation topic, which I have no clue about... Smile
