Hello, I've used the search functionality to look for this value and have come up with a post that dates to 2011. The post is:

Here it says that this distance is 14,3 mm in 2-rail world and just 13.8 mm in Märklin world.

Now I do not have a problem with a coach but with an Italian loco, the E428.140 by Rivarossi new 'series' driven with a ghost car.

On my C track curved switches when taking the inner curve the front bogey derails if it is too slow or to fast.

I checked with a caliper and the inner face distance is closer to 15 mm than 14, so I think I'll have to fix this.

Can I do it by hand or necessarily need a 'wheel extractor' tool ?

I recall somebody mentioning a specific tool for doing this but can't find the link nor the website. The link in the previous topic doesn't work for me, 404 error

Hello, here you can find a tool for regauging wheels. But if they have a plastic insulator in the axles, that may become difficult.

The tool in the link Francisco posted above is actually for checking the distance between the wheels. The tool for adjusting wheel spacing on an axle is actually this one:

the tool that Francisco has suggested arrived.
I did change the wheel distance of the leading bogies to the Marklin standard and now the engine works perfectly !
