Grief, that is getting down to NZ fast then, normally there seems to be about a weeks delay between getting it in the UK and reports from you guys about receiving it.

Yes.. The postmark states - DLC 992-1 20:01 12/06/2018
The stupid thing is that from past information DLC 992-1 is the Northgate Distribution Centre (north side of Brisbane) and I should have had the thing on the 13th - 14th at the latest.. The distribution centre is less than 5Km from me..
Did you have a post mark on yours? It is usually on the front or back of the package in the lower right corner..

So.. I now have more information from Australia Post about that package..
It seems that 992-1 refers to Dandenong Mail Centre and machine #1. Dandenong Mail centre is located south-east of Melbourne - about 1,729km away. It leaves there by semi-trailer (I am told there are many each day) and stops in at the Underwood mail centre, which is the entry for all Queensland (4xxx) addressed mail. It then goes to Northgate which is for all mail from the Brisbane river north to somewhere further north (like Gympie I suppose).. It then moves to Virginia, where it is handed to a guy on a motorcycle who delivers the mail to my house.. Sigh!

Both my Marklin and Trix Club magazines came today.
The page in the Insider Magazine about special models done for publicity purposes is in French though. I have seen this before in a previous issue as well. Someone is clearly not doing the proof reading and page layouts properly. The backing page to it and the page the other side of the fold, on the same sheet of paper is in English though.

No, because mine arrived today!
Even if a tad damp from the rain we had this afternoon, and the envelope ripped from being folded in half and jammed through the letterbox mail slot, rather than leaving it in the parcel tray!

Well going by that reasoning, the Kiwis win, cos
Kiwi
Alan reported in first.
I suppose desperate Ockers will grasp at any straw.
Same day is the same day - mine may well have been delivered first, but then some of us have to go to work......

Oh dear, i've started something ...
Definitely still a Kiwi, even if living in the land of my ancestors. On this basis (place of residence) i guess i should be discounted from the current argument.

Whom you contact depends on which club/where you are - and as your info displays no location/information, there's a limit to what we can say.
If you are registered with the US Märklin club it is one contact point, if you are with the Germany Märklin club (for rest of the world I think) its a different contact point.
Though I'd expect them to invoice you for the new year when its time and you then provide the updated payment information (card number etc).

Hi,
You guys are lucky - I have just received 01/2018
The delay is with our postal system - first a strike, then a backlog, then another strike and this is how it continues.
If the backlog is to big - then they sometime trash the post.
I have even had post sent back to the originator due to time expired.
Regards

The last time my card expired, I rang Germany to get it sorted. I seem to remember that there was only one day per week and certain hours when you could get the English speaking support person. Despite the effort, this is the only way to be sure that the change is done for you.
BTW sending card details by e-mail is a very risky idea..

Yeah, thats why they (Märklin) should really move into the 2018 in its website and provide a way for a user (you) to maintain their own billing and account information via the encrypted https protocol, instead of manual data entry by someone in Germany.

They already do that with the shop accounts, I have a shopping account on the Marklin website based in Germany but the Insider club not yet

Indeed, I received the same mail, but Märklin wrote:
"Birthday promotion in the online shop
Secure your fan articles: From September 7th to 9th 2018 we grant you a discount of 25% on all available Märklin fan items in the Märklin Online Shop."
In my opinion, the 25% discount is only given to "all available Märklin fan items". But this does not reflect the complete product lines!?

That sounds suspicious to me as well Wolfgang. It might be one of those discounts that end up applying to almost nothing, which online places use to lure you in to shop - mostly at full price.
Regards,
Jim
I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

Hello Steventrain,
for my limited English, what does stand "out" for?
Just I was looking into my mailbox - no Insider package. Although I received it sometimes on the 29th or 30th of a month already. But today, Saturday, 29th my mailbox is empty
. I looked at my Insider account on Märklins website - as you wrote too - nothing there
. For me "out" means available. Is there another meaning of out too?
Shouldn't we open a new topic for the new Insider package #05/2018 as well?
Or say it humoristic
: comes the new Insider package with the DB AG train?
They are very often late (in the average 1/3 of the long distance trains), although the executive board is telling us, as promptly their trains are running. DB-AG-Train are on time?
Just this week I read, in Germany exists 2776 signal boxes. 752 (figures from 2016) are still operated manually. Unbelievable in a time everybody is talking about digitality.
We here in Germany laugh or be very angry (depends as a person is affected) about these DB AG board members.
Regards

Indeed, switch to the English website version from Märklin. The new 05/2018 Insider Magazine is available by typing on the Märklin Insider link. If you switch back from the English website version to the German one - Oh wonder the German version of the new Insider magazine is also there!
Märklin is improving in confusing.
I just tried it via the English website and got it!

Hurrah - the new Insider Magazine is da!
Quick link
German version
https://www.maerklin.de/..._GESAMT_091818_DE_db.pdf
English version
https://www.maerklin.de/..._GESAMT_091818_EN_db.pdf
To get it directly from Märklin's website you have to toggle between the various language versions. Märklin's website is not functioning correctly. By the way: the same is happening for the Trix and LGB Club Insider Magazine.

Good Grief! The issue before that just came here a week or so ago. I will be almost Christmas before I see this one in print.
Thank god for digital access or they would all be sold out before I ever even saw one listed. Thanks for posting that Wolfang.
Regards,
Jim
I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

Not of interest yet. Just today I had my Insider package
05/2018
in the mailbox!
I am still waiting on the 2nd Insider model 2018.
Why shall I be interested in 2019? This time comes early enough!
Even after the Insider package
06/2018
!
Patience is sometimes not bad.

Issue 5 / 2018 arrived at lunchtime today Monday 29/10 / 18 . Is this the first sighting in Australia or even that far eastern pair of islands which happen to think that Oz is the breakaway island for this issue ? I also had a double whammy with the delivery of the 2018 insiders wagon & the 2018 start up kids wagon . Both look like good models when they will eventually become unboxed .
Cheers Tom in Oz .
