I notice that none of those Banana benders have not replied yet , so I agree with you Alan , daylight saving must have something to do with deliveries of this precious magazine .

Cheers Tom in daylight saving Oz .

Don't talk about Ian like that. I know he has the most banana's (wagons) on the forum, but there's no need to be rude! BigGrin

I hope the Insider package doesn't arrive today as it is persisting down with rain.

Arrived yesterday (29/10/2018), in a plastic bag, with apologise from Australia Post. Seems the envelope somehow got very wet........where, who knows??? (I collect mail from our post box situated at the post office)

So some of the pages were stuck together in both th emag and Insider, but luckily came apart fairly easily, but still have that dried look/feeling/smell.

The Fall Items catalogue bore the biggest wet brunt as did the BR 08 poster, actually the poster is uselessCursing Cursing Cursing

Oh well, can't complain too much as this is the first time this has happened in the past 14 years.ThumpUp ThumpUp

True to form, my package arrived today, although by the sounds of it it survived better than Dusan's.

The Insider Magazine bore the brunt of the rain, the bottom third got a bit damp. The 08 poster got a little moisture but not much. The Marklin Magazine was in the middle of the pack so didn't get wet at all.

Well, we gave them an earthquake today as well, with there being a 6.2 magnitude quake in the middle of the North Island. The quake was centred 207kms deep, so the shaking wasn't too bad. Apparently Auckland (where the royals were today) didn't feel anything, but then Aucklanders have never had much clue of anything happening outside of Auckland....

Public poll taken by EU was overwhelmingly in favor of getting rid of daylight saving time changes. EU President indicates they thus intend to do that but it will take some time as it takes all the members to approve the change.

It is a serious proposal, with the liklihood of the UK doing it as well.

I don't care for daylight savings time switches myself and understand why it might go away eventually. Most people appear to want to stay on DST all year though, which would mean darkness on winter mornings until after 9:00 am where I live. I would prefer what they do in Arizona which is just stick with standard time all year round.

Of course no matter what the clocks say we will always get our Märklin promotional materials months later than everyone else!
Regards,
Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!

I challenge you on the last to get Märklin magazines- we in the US seem to lag you guys by weeks.

I think us Canadians would win that challenge! Our Märklin Magazines come via the US and have to endure two postal systems to get delivered.

I bet I won't see mine until sometime in December.

BTW - I am still waiting on my Insider 103 cert - well not really waiting because I am sure that I have been blown off by Märklin and I don't really care enough to even complain. BigGrin

Well good news for you mid-westerners and others, the magazine made it all the way out to the farthest reaches of the civilized world: Seattle, WA, so even Omaha and Calgary should have it now or shortly.

Well, didn't receive my 5/2018 package yet. It should be there, but there were some issues with the deliveries. So I suppose my package is lost. I send a mail to the Märklin club yesterday. Today I received a mail from Märklin saying that they will send a new package. A quick response. So waiting again for my package now.

Hi,

I greet all fans of brands marklin & trix. Please, if possible, for some links of Marklin Insider Club News. Exactly the numbers 6/2018, 1/2018, 6/2017 and 5/2017. I am also looking for a few numbers o Trix Club News, such as 6/2018, 4/2018, 2/2018, 6/2017 and 5/2017.
Unfortunately, I'm not a member of clubs but I am a fan of the Marklin & Trix company and I try to keep up to date with all novelties and thus my request.
I greet you warmly and look forward to good news.

Jacek

Does anyone know if the insider club has a direct email address, I received a letter saying my insider club membership has been closed until payment is received, I spoke with the bank on why my debit card used was not permitted and they said it had insufficient funds at the time when Marklin was trying to get the payment for the insider club 2019 membership on November 26

We Americans don’t get our club cards til later in the year as Märklin USA do a separate print run due to us having our own number system for historical reasons. Really something Märklin should unify. But got the DvD, big catalog, magazine, insider magazine, insider model insert and insider order form.

Mine arrived today as well.. Part of the delay is that 31 December is Australia Post's concessional day and no motorcycle deliveries occur on that day. They do deliver Express Post on that day using contractor vans. They also don't deliver on Saturdays after Christmas.

By rights we should have had it on the 28th, but Marklin does an economy mail deal with Australia Post, which means that these packages are a low priority.. ( Five days instead of the normal three days between capital cities by truck). Add to this the big mail and parcel load that Australia Post gets from Christmas and the Boxing day sales and we had no hope of getting it before today.

So that means the East Islanders win this year.. Blushing

I don't think we ever get any Australia Post deliveries on a Saturday ....
And we live within 6km of the city centre.

Received mine also today, 02/01/2019 . I was under the impression the Saturday delivery was only the 2 Saturdays before Christmas , Australia lost the normal Saturday deliveries about 25 to 30 years ago along with the 2nd delivery during the day usually in the mid afternoon.

Now I have to influence the FD that it will be more important to watch the DVD than the tennis in Brisbane.

Cheers & a Happy New Year to all ,

Have you still not received the Insider 39650 BR65?

Marklin said second batch BR65 will delivery to dealers by end of February 2019.

I still do not have mine yet either. If they getting to dealers elsewhere at the end of February, then it will be March or April before I see mine. I am putting new orders on hold now until they actually make the four trains that I have outstanding, two of which have been on order for a year now.

Is it my imagination, or is Märklin's delivery schedule getting farther and farther behind when they first show items?
Regards,
Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

Very quick: I just took the first Insider mail package 01/2019 this year out of the mailbox, which probably has been there since yesterday.

Inside are
Märklin Insider News 01/2019
Big brochure about the new products 2019
Märklin Magazin February/March 2019
(front picture the BR 44 1264 - of course)
return coupon for the Insider annual wagon (for free) and a "Lanz Eilbulldog Cabrio" (art #18033)

https://www.maerklin.de/...s/details/article/18033/

it shall cost 52,99 €. - wowBlink

A Bulldog is only a tractor form the Heinrich Lanz AG. Company was bought by John Deere in 1956 already.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanz_Bulldog

but it shall be a speeding tractor with a convertible roof. BigGrin A Bulldog speeding.LOL Never!

Ah yes - 4 days too early.Laugh

I can only download the insider 1/2009 in German language (which is not what I want).
The English version points to the 5/2018 magazine...
Best regards,
