That is correct Mike. But I agree with @PJMarklin and I also did and do not want to extend this topic, because it has nothing to do with this community. It is a very complex and complicated area. Also it depends by decisions of the Minister for Economy in Germany. A recent example is, when China bought the company KUKA AG, Augsburg. They are producing high tech roboters. For more information please search with google.

And German companies own, if you just take VW: Bugatti, Lamborghini, Seat, Bentley, Ducati, Scania, Skoda. Yes foreign ownership is in and of itself not a bad thing, just as domestic ownership is not by default going to be a good thing.

If anyone is thinking of a commemorative item to mark the closure, I would highly recommend the E 52. Mine arrived two weeks ago and it is fantastic. It is also available in AC .
