Hello,
I converted my brand new V 3201 insider model Märklin 3720 into an sound loco.

First, I equipped the motor chield and the other bearing with ball bearings. This is done as usual and provides better, smoother and more silent driving.

Then, I created a sound project with the mDecoderTool3. But, I don't know why, when flashing the sound project with the CS2, the flash process hangs right from the beginning:

Therefore, as intermediate solution, I used an Doehler&Haass SD21A-4 with a not really right sound of an DSB MY (NOHAB):

OK, the sound project is wrong, but the sound is quite well. I recorded only with my smartphone, I will do a better recording with wy video cam and external microfone later.

The defect mSD sound decoder will be send to Märklin.

Regards,
Moritz

And here finally some pictures from the interior:

With double faced adhesive tape I attached the Doehler&Haass MT21 adaptor onto the original decoder mount:

I use the big speaker from the mSD set. There is enough space to mount the speaker on top of the smoke generator holder with double faced adhesive tape.

The motor shield was equiopped with a ball bearing as well as the gear side of the anchor shaft:

There is enough space for a big capacitor or a second speaker

The miniature bulbs are plugged into isolated bulb sockets. Therefore, it's easy to connect them to light AUX ports and decoder plus (U+, orange).

Hello again,
I created two new sound projects with a combined Diesel and steam engine sound.

The first sound project is based on an P8 steam engine and an Renfe 319.3 Diesel sound.

The second sound project is based on an P8 steam engine and an V36 Diesel sound.

Finally, I designed a speaker box with Polystyrol to get a better bass sound:

But the speaker box was too big, therefore, I had to attache a second speaker on top. Otherwise the speaker cames to its limits and start to distort.
