Hello all,
My apologies if this has been covered in previous postings, but can anyone tell me the correct track useage to properly align the 5754 roundhouses with the 7186 turntable. I am using two 3-stall roundhouses and can't seem to get the right spacing between them while maintaining the correct track angles. Any advice would be most appreciated.
Regards, Dave

Are you using C track? My layout is M track and I placed the, turntable and roundhouse by trial and error...It worked for me. Regards Carlos |

Hi Dave, The roundhouse can be used only either with the first three or second three connectors of the six which are together. While the angle between these connectors is 15°, the angle between the connectors 3 & 4 is 17.5°. Märklin uses two 5106 and one 5109 (3/16) for the rails in the shed. This picture is correct for 7 186: Regards Markus

Howdy Dave, As Markus mentioned the spacing between the first and second group of 3 tracks is 17.5° so you need to get the additional Vollmer part to put between or in the middle of the roundhouse. I'm sorry but I can not recall the part number but will see if I can find my instruction sheet to find it for you. OK, found it; Vollmer part # 45256The parts are included in the 6 stall kit 5758 so maybe someone who has built it for the 7286 turntable may be able to help you out. |
Sad when its cheaper to buy a new 29640 starter set from Germany than a CS2 on its own in Oz, welcome to the joys of Marklin down under . |

Hi Shane, I see the small piece between the sets of three in Carlos' picture. You state they are included in the six stall kit, are they a seperate bag of goodies? |
Matt Era 3 DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control. With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397. |

Don't know Matt,
Both my kits are still in the boxes and are further boxed ready for the move.
I'm just going by the instruction manual I downloaded, it just lists the part numbers;
20956/7/8/9 20958/9 20960/1/3/4/5/6 20971/2/3/4/5
Think that's all of them. They are listed in the package contents. |

Dave, I just bought three of the six stall kits. Since I will be using these with the new turntable, I will not need those parts. I could send them to you if it would help. |

Hi Shane, I'm coming up with 15 parts, but you have 17. Are the two parts shown in bold below duplicated in your first row of parts? I want to make sure before I send these bits to Dave. Originally Posted by: Shamu 20956/7/8/9 20958/9 20960/1/3/4/5/6 20971/2/3/4/5

Yes Matt, a boo-boo on my end there. I doubled up..... I think I intended listing them in regards to where they went but must have changed my mind. One part I think I forgot to list is they use 2 of the girder frames #11124 at the connection point with the 29060/1 spacers at ground level. 60 goes to the front and 61 to the rear. I assume they are different lengths to accommodate the angle...... could be wrong though I can no longer find the manual online so I'm being a naughty boy Vollmer_45758_6_Stall_Roundhouse.pdf (526kb) downloaded 107 time(s). |

Hi, Vollmer sells a kit 5256 which is used to connect two pieces of three stall kits together when you use Märklin 7186 turntable. eBay.de VOLLMER 5256Cheers Åke

Dave, Åke found the best solution, but I have the parts ready if you want them. There are 15 parts in total. Four roof panels (top left), four gutters (bottom center), four wall pieces (front, back and two risers between the roof levels), the iron work at the peak (center right) and lastly, two pieces that connect the base of both three stall roundhouses together (top right). Edit: Perhaps I am missing them, but I do not see the iron work piece nor the four gutters in the auction picture. Edit2: added picture of parts |

Hi Carlos, The kit also includes some extra wall pieces, but I am guessing they are supplying the whole tree and not the individual parts. Edit: The gutters were on the tree with the other gutters and the iron work was on the tree with the other iron work pieces. |
