Hi guys! I found one of these in my loft and wondered if it has any value?

That is a nice machine!

For current sales prices check ebay.de,type in Marklin 3036,and opt for Sofort Kaufen (=Buy Direct).
Price depends on general condition,anything between Euro 80 and Euro 200 i would say.
My guestimate is Euro 100 if loco and box are in mint condition.
Most analogue loco's from that period are in that price range.

My suggestion: keep it!

Note there is an orange version too,sold as Primex 3007.
Primex was a B-brand made by Marklin.
There is one for sale on ebay.de for Euro 91.67,in mint condition!

The high-priced 3036 is a rare third version with printed ÖBB logos on the front sides from the late 1970s, but it's still overpriced. Your locomotive seems to be a mint 3036.2 from the 1960s, if the box on your pictures is the one that it was originally sold in. The wheels prove that it was definitely made before 1974, when Märklin modified the flanges, and the fact that it's still mint suggests that your box is probably the original one. If you check out the printing code inside the box, you can tell when the box was made and find a matching instruction manual on Ebay, which isn't difficult for this model. For example, 69 366 MA 0164 ni tells you that the box was printed in January 1964 (0164). With the instruction manual, your 3063.2 will have a value of 120-140 euros because it's mint.

Just a tip for you: Upload the photos you want to display on this forum to a picture hosting website such as picr.de and copy the link you get there into your thread, so those users who would like to look at your photos do not have to download them onto their hard disks.
