if i remember well, it was using the feuerwher set in the databank, and then you were able to acces the cv on ESU decoders.
There was a different procedure for TAMs, and i used a different one for Profilok, not able to access CV, only change the adress.

It's possible to use the database instance for the 36330 as a starting point for programming ESU decoders with MS.
The TAMS (LDW-1) procedure is indeed different and described here:

First Question: What is the decoder type/manufacturer?

You will likely not be able to properly program any Uhlenbrock, Lenz, Tams or Kühn decoder, including their derivates sold by Viessmann, Conrad, ROCO, etc.

You will not have any problems programming any MM compatible ESU LS/LP decoder.

For Uhlenbrock decoders, here below the procedure given by UHL:

"in order to chance CV 1 to an other value you have to call the loco under the address which the loco actual has ( in your address 3 )
Then press 5 times the "change driection" button. Then the rearlights of the loco will flash slow 4 times.
Then call loco adress 1. Then press 1 time the "change driection" button. Then the rearlights of the loco will flash slow 4 times.
Then call the loco adress you want to use for the loco. Then press 1 time the "change driection" button. Then the rearlights of the loco will flash fast 4 times.
If that is all you want to programm finish.
Then call the loco adress 80.Then press 1 time the "change driection" button.
You are finished.

Attention
All the loco adresses you need for this programming ( address 3,1,the new loco address, 80 ) must be installed into the loco memory of the mobile station."

It is not as staightforward as with 6021, but it' works!

Thank you all indeed!

One was fighting with an ESU decoder . It happens on a discussion, some people said all decoders are easy to programm with MS. Others said it's not. Depending on which brand.
So Hemmerich, it's obviuously possible with ESU & Tams. Efel gave us a way with Uhlenbrocks.

It seems Lenz didn't give any information on how to programm Lenz motorola decoders.
But did these people have tried with the procedure Marklin has given on the instructions manual, I'm not sure, yet.

The Lenz motorola decoders LE900 & LE930 are described on this site.... wink

If anyone knows how to program the 930 with the MS, tell us... Or maybe I will have a go at it later on... Shouldn't be too difficult...
