Jim, Kolls is 600 euro. Be careful when buying- unfortunately I bought one a month ago that turned out to be a fake. (from Suter Meggen in Switzerland in case that is where you found it) Regards, -JPC |

Thanks JPC...
Not buying, actually selling so I was looking for a guideline.
I'll be selling off most of my small collection to fund another hobby - absolutely no space nor any desire at the moment to have a model railroad. About the only thing I am keeping is my ST800.

Hi John,
I still owe you some photos and I will also send to our mutual friend who is assisting you. I am not great with a camera and the photos are being "done" tomorrow. There is no question that you have an altered one. All the photos I have seen look like mine NOT yours.
I will be in Switzerland later this month for 10 days, Zurich not Geneva, maybe I can take mine to show him?

Hi Nigel,
Interesting list and thanks for posting. Maybe it's because we have no snow here but I love the snowy locs.
I have the Glasskasten, metal Snow Croc, Snowy Wooden e-loc, snowy railbus and the snowblower 28832. Not on your list BUT might not belong there is the Marklin Christmas loc, not sure #? 37531?
Thanks again,
Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy, Arguable, perhaps! I didn't include it because this loco has a winter theme, but is not "weathered" with snow. I think there's actually quite a small select set of models with snow applied, considering how much snow there is in the various countries of Europe where Märklin is popular! Best wishes, Nigel |

The other thing I've seen on ebay is people selling fakes often use a 39560 as their base model, and they will put a 39569 sticker over top of 39560 on the loco box - so look out for stickers on the box. Eduardo Not from the forum but, but you may ask German captains of industry families ....who knows if the happy owner does not come here incognito ... (congratulations to him,... such a nice piece..!...even has a big C-Sine motor !!! ). I was surprised as I had been told the total number of units sold by Marklin : more than 60 ! ( I said "more than sixty" Because I Have Been Given the exact number, I dont remember wether 63 or 65 or 66, anyhow .... It was 6x, SIXTIE and something ...)I was suprised at first because I did not expect that they could sell more than.... round about twenty .... Edited by user 09 June 2014 17:13:02(UTC)

Hi all,
Having a fake previously, and now owning the genuine article, I can say the snow is the big difference. The fakes are WAY off the mark. Also, can anyone confirm the box sticker of 39569 as 100% sure being a fake? (I'll check mine tonight) If I remember quickly both that snow croc and the 37569 weathered one had stickers (when I handled genuine articles at a dealer new) but maybe my memory is failing me. |

Interesting- that croc is for sure a fake, but I'll look at mine tonight. I think the genuine articles had the stickers too... |
