Hi all,
Updated successfully my 60214 from 3.0.1 to 3.6.2, thru Internet. It took a while (approx. 1 hour), but it's ok.
I had to start manually the update of the GUI component to V8, because the update procedure didn't do it automatically (all 4 other components were updated automatically successfully before).
Cheers Fabrice

No, but my language setting was English before the update. During the update process, all were written in German. Fortunately, in post #9 https://www.marklin-user...ched-yet.aspx#post457154 a pdf in English language was provided, who has helped me a lot. (Thanks to Shamu ) It's a pity a company like M is not able to at least write their software in English language, or provide enough documentation (pdf, html page, etc...) publicly available. Cheers Fabrice

....really an interesting update, specially about the Memory. Marklin has a very original way to move forward for the automation of layouts . The Game is still important.
My dealer has been informed by Marklin about the next update. The focus will be on the extension of mfx® operating.... I may be dreaming, but the new features from the 3.6.5 version coupled with an extension of MFX operating = it smells good !

Hi All I also updated without any problems, and noticed some new additions and changes. Thanks M. The only problem I have now is where I can find a user manual where M explains all the new features and specifically how to implement and use them. I think M should also update the user manual files with every software update.
In the past the green bars at the bottom of the screen indicating the locos’ speed and the speed dials on the control page, the value where the same. Now I noticed the green letters “FS” above the value next to the bars and the value of the speed dials differ. What is the reason for this and what does the letters “FS” mean? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Regards
Andreas

Hi all I have also completed the 3.6.2 update. Everything was ok. The procedure took about 25 minutes.

Hi Tom, Thanks for your info, I if understand you correctly the scale of the speed steps are much smaller and one can control the speed of a given loco more accurately? This will definitely help when one uses a breaking relay to stop a train consistently and exactly on the same spot. Best regards Andreas |

Hello!
60215 flawlessly updated also here. Tooks almost 50min, and 4 reboots.
I have 2 MS1 at diferent firmware levels... Since there is some reports of problems with MS* plugged-in, I decided to upgrade the CS2 without them connected.
I needed to leave my TrainRoom before try to update the CS2 with MS1 plugged (after the CS2 upgrade)... Some one had the experience to upgrade the firmware of them?
Previuosly I had the information that only CS1 could upgrade the MS1... fact?
Thanks!
Walter

There are reports of problems with CS2 upgrade when MS2 were connected during the CS2 upgrade. Can't harm to disconnect anything that is not required for the upgrade. |

Hi all, Is there a way to modify the green speed bars back to show actual speedometer speed km/h or percentage of the max speed (0-100%)? I don't like this new FS speed step thing and would appreciate to get km/h or % back. Even my oldest son (6 years old) noticed this difference and was confused . I have not tried my wireless iThingies = iPhone with MobileStation app and iPad with MainStation app with this newest CS2 update. I will try these later to see if they are like before. Maybe I have to move my wireless router back to the train room if the train running is still more fun with them . The most annoying thing with these FS readings is when I run a newer mfx decoder equipped loco with many speed steps at say 60% speed and at the same time an older loco with much less speed steps at the same 60% speed. Then I change the view to some other than "Control", like "Memory", "Layout" etc. so that I can not see the speedometers of the locos. Then even when the two locos run at the same calibrated speed (60%) like today my black mfx Crocodile 37567 and an older 6090 decoder equipped 3756 green Crocodile other shows say FS 70 and other FS 8 (this is only an example and these FS readings are not the real ones). I don't like this feature when I have to know and remember how many speed steps each loco has. I agree that these FS readings can be used for advantage in some situations, but it should really be possible to change back to km/h or % (0-100) readings if wanted by the user. Or are everyone else of you who are using this latest update with CS2 really happy with this new "FS" feature? We are not, but other than this the new update is ok. Regards, Janne |
