Have you seen the actual 37755?

It´s same light poles.
It´s too long,so light dryers come up short.

I would venture a guess that high gloss white or silver paint, directly onto the plastic leads, would be the most likely solutions. Provided that the paint, which are used, do not chemically attack the plastic surface!

How bout a close up picture of the wheels while the rest of us wait patiently for the shipments to get processed.

Some years ago I painted a light guide with Humbrol paint. The paint attacked the plastic, making a very rough surface. the rough surface very efficiently absorbed most of the light so practically nothing came out at the end of the light guide.

Yes don’t use any paint on the leads it damage plastic reflect and tin foil can always be remove

Hi,

I've just noticed the Roco DM 3 I've got has the same loco numbers as the Märklin model ( 976, 977, 978) but there are some noticeable differences, e.g. Pantographs and lights. the only explanation I could come up with they may have altered the lights or pantographs.

Even the "cab communication" sound is in Swedish, so it's fully understandable...

The tanks on the Märklins new Dm3 is to small.
And pantographs must be with light gray color,not metallic!

this is what the electrical fittings look like on my Roco model, so far the difference length is concerned 12mm-15mm it looks the same on this model but will measure it today. the measurements are: left hand side = 15mm, the grills = 80mm, right hand side = 12mm, the distance of the Roco model are reversed (Märklin 12mm-15mm)

if we are talking about the middle part is wrongly assembled, e.g. air tanks we may also look at the window figuration when you look closely the whole housing should be the other way around but this is to say, is the Roco model right ?
When you look at the Roco model, the roof grills line up about in the middle of the window below whereas the Märklin model lines up at the end of the window.
maybe because of the different length (12mm + 15mm) the roof grill is not in the right position ?

so something has gone wrong when they've designed the loco housing they may the used the wrong mirror image ? Roco or Märklin

its either the Roco or the Märklin model is wrong, with the prototype photo you can't tell the distance of the roof grill or the distance compared with the window below or from the edge to the roof grill.
Nobody has complained so far I'm aware of regarding the Roco model but this isn't to say they've got it wrong but looking at the high powered wires and the arrangement one has to start thinking did they (Märklin) got it completely wrong, it just doesn't look right.

the air tanks seem to be the obvious ones and it looks like nobody had any instructions how they should be fitted but I wonder whether or not they can be fitted in the right way ?
You know what is going to happen, if Märklin admits they have been fitted wrongly, please send the whole loco back and we'll 'll fix it. Like to see the freight + insurance cost, there could be a few unhappy customers or they just leave it as it is.
the end result is one has been made aware of it but will you spend more money on it to rectify it ? you have to be careful with these limited editions, it may be in its true form, a very limited edition, another limited edition with the air tank pipes being fitted properly or another model with different numbers and air tanks pipes being fitted properly ?

this is where some modelers drift away from other modelers, some would say, it doesn't bother me and others say I'm paying top dollars for a model and this is what I'm getting especially looking closer and comparing it with a prototype and you have to start assuming have they ever seen the prototype or is it just from photos and plans ?

Feels not acceptable in 2014 to pass a "special model" where the dealer shows delivery picture of 1960 and then hocus pocus delivers something so wrong and then don’t respond with some reason

My experience with the Service is, that for such fundamental issues, it is better to write to the Management of Märklin. They respond to my Mails very quick and frienldy and on a higher information level then the service did.

Good luck, I think, Maerklin should exchange/modify this real fundamental mistake.
