Joined: 20/12/2013(UTC) Posts: 141 Location: Houston		Dear Marklin Z scalers, I am new to Z scale. I have just purchased a starter set on eBay and a few extra wagons and extra track to get started. I have a large N scale layout but have always wanted a bit of Z scale . The seller assures me the loco (DB 89 steam tank engine, 5 pole version) runs very nicely but I always like to know how to service model trains. Can someone point me to any on line diagrams, service sheets, pictures or photos of what’s inside this loco? So far I have found the two shown below. It looks a lot like the Minitrix Dock Tank Engine with its vertically placed motor, only about 2/3 the size. That's correct. I did mean to say before that the little diesel shunters (8864, 88641, 8865) are basically the same, so if you wanted to diversify your loco fleet your workshop wouldn't have to learn a whole new lot of stuff.

Also you asked for pictures of the loco itself, what do you exactly want? I have the loco with the 3 pole motor, but it s technically the same for the rest. Also, the v60 shunters (8864) are slightly different, the wormwheel is located diffently. The br89 is a easier one to rebuild, but the video still contains some good tips... Kristof
