I'm wanting to buy Marklin 26731 - Royal Bavarian State Railroad (K.Bay.Sts.B.) class D XII tank locomotive - but after reading a review (here on the forum) I'm a tad hesitant.

Can someone who owns this unit comment on the quality? Are you happy?

Thanks,
ken

For those interested: I guess this is the review Ken refers to:
https://www.marklin-user...ie---37135-vs-26731.aspx

Only read the initial four posts if you want to buy that loco ...

I have both sets, the Bavarian as well as the Palatine (26535) and I am happy with both of them.

To convince you to purchase the 26731 I have a few pictures you can have a look at followed by a video showing both DXII's running along side each other.

Hi all,

I don't have it and me it is not the most perfect model, but it looks great (I saw it in 2 dealers), and yes, it is very tempting!!

Best regards,

I pulled the trigger on the 26731.

I think Vader was using his evil force powers on me.....
