How many straws fits the hole in the can?

Please remember that straws come in different diameters.
You have to take that into your calculations.

Svein,
We will have to call a meeting of the International Design Committee to decide on :
Diameter
Length
Colour
mfx or FX.
Left or Right handed.
ANother thing that is of great importance is that some beer can manufacturers have holes of different sizes.
An EU ruling would have to be made to standardise this opening in Beer Cans and somehow have this ruling Forced on the rest of the World. Once that is done we can determine how many straws we need of the can.
Maybe we may have to have 2 cans specially if one of the drinkers is a Hearty inhaler.[}:)]
If the cans tops are made in China [:p] that will not be a problem as there will only be on manufacturer to worry about.biggrin

As the holder of the sales and distribution rights for the uncoupler would it be possible to add the new design straw to my firms list of high quality goods. I was thinking of starting an Insider Club for these items (subscriptions are cash only to the usual address)
As its freezing and wet here Im on my way to the party and will bring another prawn.
Regarding the hole in the can I have a hole maker also known as a tin sucker at the design stage to match the diameter of the straw.

David

Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Design Modification No. One:

The Tin sucker must be able to make the number of Holes equal to the Number of Straw Suckees.

Thanks Nev! I'd love to come to Brissy [:p][:p][:p] ...but work has other plans for me, alas.. [:(]

BTW - would be great to find a cute FD and I'm sure that would curb my rate of loco acquisition, but I would prefer a local one wink

B-day David?? What's that got to do with loco purchasing? wink Alternatively I could argue that I belong to an obscure sect that celebrates every week [:o)]

It was 54 first time I wrote in this thread Nikos, and it was ages ago - well August 2006 seems like ages ago wink

By January 2007 the count was 90 and I wowed to reduce my buys... and now it's climbed 150 [}:)][}:)][}:)]

So it ain't gonna rise much higher and this time I mean it!! biggrin

Steventrain,

I know that you have more or less the same attraction to BR103s as I do.
I am not very fond of the first series of BR103s thus the first prototypes with a single row of ventilation screens.
This is the reason that I have not got the early Maerklin 103s.
Let me however pinpoint that ROCO's BR103s are fantastic in terms of details, painting and they also have satisfactory running performance (although not as good as Maerklin).
ROCO is also the only MRR maker (along with LIMA) who offers the BR103 Touristik (which BTW accompanied with the set of Touristik Wagons from ROCO make a unique train consist).
I wonder if a BR103 ever existed in a different colouring than the ones I have already in possession...

Indeed Pietro,
TEE is a favorite subject for me. I am also looking forward to the RAm TEE I der Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen (SBB/CFF/FFS)which is currently offered by Trix and hopefully it will be offered sometime soon by M* too.
It was a disappointment for me the New Insider 2008 (Senator) I was actually expecting the RAm TEE SBB/CFF/FFS which is far better looking and has a more interesting (although unlucky) history.

Hello all
As I'm new here I figure this is a good place to start.
Over the last few years I've aqquired 5 so far.
1. BR 24 from start set 29505
2. Br 86 from start set 29530
3. V200 metal with no markings Delta/digital(not installed by me)
4. A small loc 29156 (aquired off e-bay)
5. E.T 501-506 37266

There's always so many more wanted, but until I figure away of growing a money tree it'll have to be slowly slowly.[img][/img]

Indeed, a fine looking set!

Just goes to show -- when I looked 37266 up in the Märklin database, it looked frankly unimpressive, but your photos show how it actually looks -- very nice! I'm tempted myself Smile

BTW, welcome to the forum, Tony...another Aussie!
