Good, Panayotis

Did you manage to open the 3085 tender?
The body is just hooket into place. There are small "slots" in the body where the hooks are located. Just bend it carefully out with a small screwdriver and lift off the body. There should be two U-shaped weights in there.

See http://www.maerklin.de/service/...r.php?artikelnummer=3085

Thank you Foumaro, yes I am pleased with this model,it's the AC version that comes with ESU lokpilot so I am pleased that I do not have to convert and it run immediatelly with my central. Lights changes over direction white/red. You can check the specification here
http://www.alphatrains.de/html/a_471.html.
Next month I am waiting OSE Class 120.007 Eurosprinter (AC DIGITAL from Electrotren).I will post images and review when I get it.
I only wish Marklin makes some Greek models in the next years. I really want a shunter v60 with the OSE logo. I simply love those engines and I will post soon some pictures and videos from the Cargo Station in Thessaloniki so you can see them in action.

BUT if Marklin does not produce other makers are willing to make Greek models that are compatible with Marklin. so you have the best of both worlds. Marklin usability and Greek models.
What more could you ask for.

But they must run on R1 Curves biggrin

Dear Greek friends, I understand your problem! Here in Italy we had the same problem since a few years ago.
The only model ever produced by Marklin was old E424 from 60s (#3035).
Now Roco is going to produce some locos in AC! [:p] and we finally can achieve some variety in your rolling stock!
Nev: it's a good compromise, but believe me, these models will NEVER match the quality and the solidity of a metal Marklin loco (perhaps with sound!)

Pietro, you are correct as JB says nothing beats Marklin Heavy Metal.
I have converted ONE Australian Loco, but unless something improves drastically Never again. Very frail plastic. Feels heavy but that is because of the Huge Block of Lead

I will admit it runs reasionably and with a Locksound MFX Decoder sounds magnificent.

Palle,
NOT heavy Metal. Plastic Shells. I did not get much time to examine it before being confiscated until Christmas day. Be under the tree soon.
However it looks very nice and well detailed. Runs nicely. Very Quiet. Sound volume is a bit high will adjust that when hte CS arrives.
After Christmas will do a comparison with the BR03.
Maybe one of the forum may have Marklin 01 that we can do a side by side comparison.

If have 55 locomotives, most steam.
I run about 20 engines, all steam except for new the railbus.
All digital.
The non used items are in the box or on shelves

Will see what new (steam) locomotives 2008 will bring.
Not sure about the new insider item, maybe not this year.
Depends on the what will be available next year

Passed by my MMR dealer today, to check about my CS, which is still in Germany [:(]

He had an old Roter Pfeil, the digital 3605, for sale. I just had to buy it! biggrin
Made in 1987, no wear traces, in the original gray box. It is crying for a mfx conversion! Cool
Edit, printing error:
42 steam
29 Diesel
32 electric
103 total, all Märklin

Plus a Z scale Br24, 2 Roco NSB El16 and a Brawa Robel Klv53

Thanks, friends!

Be aware of the lower screw head, Palle.
If you use the motor from the 60923 conversion set, I mean.

The interior was removed prior to the photo.

Svein, you got a masterpiece, why do you want to make changes?

There are several reasons:
- Not so many digitals addresses left Cool
- Possible to separate the front lights and the interior light
- Possible to make Swiss light change
- Smoother running, accelerating and braking
- Set the maximum speed correct
- Nice, heavy metal model - deserves the best

I tested last night, connected the motor only to a 60922 decoder. It runs much smoother and makes less noise than with the 6081 decoder.
