There's always another the you want...
plus the wagons to match -- of course -- and then more locos...

I just realized (with a little bit of a shock), that I have 14 functioning locomotives:
29750 DB BR 212 Feuerwehr
3000 DB BR 89
3029 Länderbahn BR ?
3034 DB BR E41
3091 Baden P 8
33184 DRG BR 18.4
36890 DB BR 185 "Schöfferhofer"
37159 SZD Class TE-3915
37333 CFL Class 3600
37333 CFL Class 3600
37492 PRR GG-1
37652 DB BR 362
39050 DB BR 05
Hobbytrade 261459 DSB MZ-IV
I've outgrown my MS [:0]!
Time for a CS (quickly checks that FD is not reading this...[:I])
For most of my life, I had only 3000 and 3034, and yet -- once rediscovering MRR -- they are now proliferating!
Cheers,
Damon

Do NOT buy one from David or Tony in NZ, you may have to handle it with asbestos gloves.

Another posibility is that we can borrow (In Rotation) an ECOS from a Mutual Friend. [:p]

At last one of them got honest and handed the CS back to its rightful owner. Now back in the clutches of NZ Post before a big swim across the Tasman.

Updated my Excel Spreadsheet with the acquisition of Caternary Maintenance Vehicle (39970) and now up to 107.
The following to arrive soon:
Brawa T5 Locomotive
Brawa E95 Locomotive
Brawa EG1 4x4 locomotive
Marklin V90 w Telex Couplers
So an auspicious number is approaching = 111, I never imagined that I would ever exceed 75 !
I aslo have the dollars spent to acquire these items. But lets not ask that question.

Santa brought the count up to 15.
Latest addition is a Mehano Vossloh HLD, type 77 of the NMBS (Belgian railways). It's very finely detailed but also looks very fragile. I haven't run it that much, but first impressions are good. The sound from the loksound decoder is great, but I'll need to lower the volume a little. It runs very smoothly and can really crawl along at very low speed.
Kind regards,
Pieter-Jan

I also use Excel to keep track of my inventory along with costs, works rather well.
I am also in the process of doing an over all inventory where I am hauling out all the boxes from storage (I keep all the boxes for the rolling stock and locs) and compare what I actually have with what is in the spreadsheet just to make sure the numbers jive.
I did find some errors and those are now corrected. I also started a second inventory workbook in Excel where individual worksheets contain the qty, manufacaturer, description, and if the item is out of the box and the box number the items are packed in.
I will print the sheet and insert it into a lablelope (Canada Post calls it this, it is a plastic pouch which is stuck onto the box) along with numbering the box. This will make for locating a specific item easier.
I also have the chance to see if the items were damaged by mice or not. My case no problems with mice :)

Hi, got one more. My delayed Christmas present, OSE Hellas Sprinter by Electrotren (ac digital) with old livery H 561. They produce another model with new livery 120.007 but I like more the old OSE sign. It has lokpilot decoder and its not Marklin, the body is plastic and you can understand it immediately but still I like her very much. Hope you enjoy the picture

Nice choice Ria. If only we can persuade ROCO to produce the OBB Taurus in the Greek colouring for the European Championship 2008. Happy New Year!

Hi
I have 15 all digital from Marklin.
I had a model train from Piko (on those times it was made in DDR) when I was a boy.
On my 41 years birthday I got a sarter set from Marklin. Since than I am spending a lot of time with model trains.

But as our Greek friends do, when M doesn't produce any locomotive of your country, you must manage with other brands....

Nice model, Pietro.
One day Marklin will wake up and realise they've only ever made one Italian locomotive!

Thank you for your comments!
Ray and Olav: Marklin produced one only italian loco (E424), and four other derived from german ones: two small diesel (derived from kof and V36) and two steamers (derived from BR55 and BR38).
But these four were moderately used since there were a few and often they had limits on rolling in our tracks.
Foumaro: It's a particular loco composed by two semi-locomotives joined together, as you can see: this is a typical italian design for heavy electric locos.
Yes, the picture under the cab is a gator: this locomotive's name is "Caimano" (Caiman)... I don't have a swiss croc but with this I own a reptile anyhow...
maybe I can join the gator club

Of course, Pietro. Welcome
BTW - can we have a big picture of Little Caimano, please ... [:p]
I hope no one visits a poor Southener's layout in Brooklyn. Intruders beware of Gators.
