Dear Marklin friends, In a lovely sweet Dutch Antique shop I bought last Friday a 1957 V200 first version 3021. No box, no papers, only the Loco. She is used but still looks very neat, the wheels and gears too, but I must replace a broken coupler and re-tighten the windows. I paid € 50,00 for her and I believe that is not too expensive for a neat 3021(1). She has all the super sweet 1st version feathers, such as the Silver triple-ribbed decoration lines and of course the open ventilation grills aka “durchbrochenen Lüfters''. And at the bottom is a small switch for changing direction, but that can also be done remotely with the transformer. Man, how I love this super machine...... she ride fabulous !! Hi Marco, You have excellent taste, a wonderful Loco. They all have the reversing swich located there. I'm still looking for a '57. Ian. Still trying to work out this e-mail address.

Hi Ian, Thanks !! Excellent taste ?? Wait till you see my new Faller AMS .... Yes I'm still on the look for your 3021(1) but you also want an original box and instruction booklet and so on, so that is a different story. The Antique store had over 200 Marklin Loco's most 1950/60s right between the Holy Maria statues and chandeliers, and the best thing....most not expensive at all !! And they even have them online too, but the Antique store is otherwise completely unknown. As you are my forum buddy I'm going to sent you a PM with the link to this uber lovely Antique store, in case you want to look (virtual) around there too. Marco EDIT: PM sent... |

It has been in use though - two or three minutes maybe. |

Hi Tom, Yes I care !! Many thanks for your response !! I have done the past weeks a thorough study on the 3021 model (and stored all articles and info that I could find). I'm Dutch, but I can also speak, read and write German. In German literature and fora is written: Durchbrochenen Lüftungsgitter Durchbrochenen Lüfter Durchbrochene LüfterWhat do you think is most correct ?? Marco |

Hi all, Last night I was thinking that it was not very nice that I give the Antique shop link to only one member, because every member is my buddy. So here is the link for everyone: ANTIQUE SHOPNot everything is cheap, but a large part is.....(such as a TM800 for € 65 and so on). Marco |

That's a lovely old 3021, Marco! I always live in hope that I'll find a nice old loco in an antique shop for a good price, but so far the only Marklin I've ever found in a local antique shop has been a really rusty old 3000, and they wanted £50 for it (about €55). It was even missing its slider too! |

What do you think is most correct? German language difficult language. Lüfter as plural: "Die Lok hat durchbrochene Lüfter." "Die Lok mit den durchbrochenen Lüftern." Lüfter as singular: "Beim Anblick des durchbrochenen Lüfters ..." Lüfter as plural: "Beim Anblick der durchbrochenen Lüfter ..." I would not use "Durchbrochenen Lüfter" or "Durchbrochenen Lüftungsgitter" as headlines or quotes, although they are correct in certain contexts. For headlines, use "Durchbrochene Lüfter" or "Durchbrochene Lüftungsgitter" (plural) or "Durchbrochener Lüfter" or "Durchbrochenes Lüftungsgitter" (singular). |

Hi Tom, Many thanks, now I get it. Hi David, The Antique shop link is public now, so you can look around if you wish. At 5 minutes from my house is a big MRR shop called "De Wapstad", they claim they have at any time from any brand the entire program in stock. They have indeed everything from Marklin and at least 350 different New Marklin loco for sale in the shops display cases. Wapstad advertise with the "entire program in stock stuff" for over 25 years. They even have a 10x bigger Marklin range in stock than the official Marklin Store in the same town, also on 5 minutes from my home. Yes, in terms of Marklin it is not bad in Holland, there is many of it, new and used, and it is cheap compared to other countries. Marco |

Hi Alan, Yes, I would indeed love very much if you can post some photos of your 3021 (1) here. You can find some information how you can do that here: LINKSome threads are slightly outdated (and not 100% correct anymore), but there are some good ones. Marco |

Today I gave the 3021 a small service job, oil and a new bulb. The (red) color difference between the 1957 3021 and her 53 years younger sister 30210 (2010) is remarkable. Furthermore the 30210 have silver outlined windows and ventilation grils, both have open ventilation grills. |

Do you know if they deal with overseas, maybe they only sell within Nederlands ? Do you have any information on this. Thanks for any advice you can give. BR Glenn |

No problem at all ! I can contact them (Phone) in Dutch if you want and ask....
EDIT:
Hi Glenn, I have already contacted the Antique shop Elizabeth Maria and spoke with the very kind shop owner Andre Gombos Andre has received no email or order from UK, only one big order from Spain. Maybe there was a problem with the contact form on their website ? I have sent you a PM with the direct email of the Antique shop. They do ship worldwide and speak good English. |

Hi Marco, As you can see, she is boxed and with some original wrapping, but no instructions, although she only cost me £77, which I thought was a good price, and if you have a look at "Free Marklin", all round it was a really good deal. Ian. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
