Eric, I have that SZD/BR52 plus 47897 and 47899!
It's a fine looking loco, with the red star and white-trimmed wheels.
The wagons have been criticized as not real SZD, but they look the part to me, so...

Have a look at Model Russian Railways and Red Star Railways
Cheers,

Thanks Damon, the sites are interesting, never thought of so many Russian models(and Made in St Petersburg ?!) available. I am a little curious that they claim that 1/2 of the rail traffic is happening in Russia ?!

.... Tell me, when you convert the 3772, will you leave the loco body transparent, or are you thinking of painting it?

I will leave the body transparent.
As I mentioned, as the loco is not in a mint condition, I convert it. Otherwise I would have kept it in it's original condition. I do no drastic changes to the chassis, and keep the old parts well stored, so I can any time convert it back to original.

I use the motor from a 60904 kit, and a Märklin mfx sound decoder for Diesel locomotives, M# 60932. As the locomotive is transparent, I will arrange wires and so on very tidy, possibly also with some kind of internal illumination to show the inner parts, controlled by f1 and f2.

Pictures will follow!

As promised - some photos, as I finished the convertion tonight:

Eric,
Sorry for the slow reply...
I'll check my sets, but I don't remember them as being different.
I do know they are "one-piece" with the bogies, i.e. no NEM pockets etc...
More info later...
Cheers,

Cool

Very nice loc, Eric!!!

I have been hunting on the same loc in a DRG suit, being the BR 96.0 that came as a Carl Bellignroth No. 1.

I loved it so much that I didn't let the pice matter.
But I skipped the Insider BR05 and bought me a cheaper BR24 instead [B)]

Nice catch Gert Jan, yours looks more realistic on a layout.
Mine is too delicate that I hesitate to run it.

Some good dampfloks you have!
