Hello Svein and thank you ,yes you are right i must , cause if my double Big Boy consist passes the bridge , i t will demolish everything . Ps : Three other locos are expected by the end of August ( God willing) , at the 37203 set that contains the green V188 , the V120 and the V140 . |

Nice one you get Alonso , I've been hunting for the 37203. Yet I got 1/3 of it yesterday, from my dealer's hidden pile of "junk"... My loco count is up to 32 now Th VT140.. Yet. it's a delta so I need to put a LP3 into it later. Then I got this BR81, Pserup, but the car no. is a 003.. Last but not the least, here's this seldom mentioned item... a SZD (which is in fact a BR52)... I also got some Russia cars to go with it.. What a shopping day!! Thanks Damon, the sites are interesting, never thought of so many Russian models(and Made in St Petersburg ?!) available. I am a little curious that they claim that 1/2 of the rail traffic is happening in Russia ?! Somehow I found the couplers of 47897 & 47899 are different in mine, is it true for yours? Eric

Greetings! New member here (today!). Long time reader of the forum. I have only two loks: Analog 3087 KLVM, green (Konigliches Lokalbahn Verkehrs Ministerium ) Analog 3095 BR74, black, DB Almost more than I can handle at times. I am somewhat non-technical! Happy to be a Marklinist! Jim

Quote:[size=1" face="Verdana" id="quote]quote:RayPayas Posted - 2007/07/24 : 13:34:42 .... Tell me, when you convert the 3772, will you leave the loco body transparent, or are you thinking of painting it?
I will leave the body transparent. As I mentioned, as the loco is not in a mint condition, I convert it. Otherwise I would have kept it in it's original condition. I do no drastic changes to the chassis, and keep the old parts well stored, so I can any time convert it back to original.
I use the motor from a 60904 kit, and a Märklin mfx sound decoder for Diesel locomotives, M# 60932. As the locomotive is transparent, I will arrange wires and so on very tidy, possibly also with some kind of internal illumination to show the inner parts, controlled by f1 and f2.
Pictures will follow! As promised - some photos, as I finished the convertion tonight: Before convertion: After convertion: The inside: For more details, please see my website www.saebonet.com! |

Thanks all for the warm welcome Svein---that lok, transparent! Now why would you want to go tempting me like that? I really do not know what took me so long to actually join the club; I have been into Marklin since the 1970's. It turned out to be quite easy, tech-wise Jim

Updated locomotive count - 38. I got this 3044 from an Ebay dealer as part of a deal involving a refund. Why get money back when you can have another loco instead? I've already posted this pic in my layout thread. Sorry for the duplication. Ray |
