Hi all,
Has anyone installed in any rolling stock/lok an on board camera?
Such as this or similar:

Micro-Camera

Hey Doctor,
I have one similar to this one that I picked up from eBay for around $35.
It works ok. The range is fine as long as your TV is in the same room but I find the picture a little grainy and jumps every few seconds. For the record it is connected to an old CRT TV that I had sitting around in my basement.

Personally I would go in for a more expensive camera if I knew that its picture quality will be very clear with no picture humping.

I have made a "camera train", which concists of two cars, the camera car and the power supply/control car.

Battery charging, camera on/off and "photo light" is digitally controlled with a 60961 function decoder.

The receiver has a tv/vcr output, and I am not fully satisfied with the picture quality. I have not yet found a good device to convert the vcr signals to a PC movie format.
I am looking for a new camera/receiver set with some kind of PC output, e.g. USB.
