I sure wish Mother M would offer some cars for the 37612, I like you have all the PA-1's so far, and there just isn't enough passenger cars. How about some Pennys' or NYC passenger cars. By the way, the PCM cars and engines don't hold a candle to what marklin does. I am surprised that Kato doesn't come out with something. Kato has a Business car that looks great. Wow, what an outstanding occassion! As it is from 1977, it is still analogic with an SFCM motor, I suppose. Had this motor in my UP F7 before conversion to digital. Now this lok is running absolutely smooth and silent. There's only one thing I regret: that very specific sound of a whining SFCM has gone [:(] Hans Martin

There's only one thing I regret: that very specific sound of a whining SFCM has gone [:(] Fair right, Hans Martin - she got the little SFCM. And since she never left her box in those 30 years of her life she was verharzt, heavily, by factory oil still. But not the slightest grain of coal residue inside her motor, nor any traces of wear and tear on her wheels or the schleifer. Also all of her motor parts are shining brightly - a true virgin [^] Now after her very first tune-up, plus a little break-in she's running reasonably nice. That whining sound is there, of course - and so is our beloved Eau d' Marklin |

Very nice John, congrats!! Got my D&RGW F7 set last week from a US collector - makes me think that the postal services must be making a bundle on all this trans-atlantic shipping Mine was in great condition as well but not brand new - did come with a decoder though. I know some think this is sacriledge [V] but if i'm to run it it's a must... PS: John, does your set also have 'fuzzy' edges where the black meets the yellow on the roof? And the same road number on both A-units? |
