Do you want me to post some pictures?
Cheers, Ranjit That would be nice, thanks! |

Thanks Ranjit. They look great. I think I'll look out for these on ebay. A train of 4 of these would do me. |

Won a couple of SNCF coaches on ebay. Not bad for 22 euro for both coaches. Edited by user 08 December 2010 10:12:54(UTC)

I bought a consist of Munich-Nuremberg-Express coaches - the fastest regional train in Germany, connecting Bavaria's to major cities with a maximum speed of 200 km/h (120 mph). The models are made by Fleischmann. Regards, Florian |

Very nice coaches, Florian. Are they scale length? Do you get any problems with overhang on sharp curves? (By the way, your ballasting of the C tracks is almost exactly like how I did mine!) |

These are 1:93,5 coaches i.e. each of them has a length of 282 mm. There are no problems in curves.
Like with all my other Fleischmann coaches, there are no problems with the original DC wheel sets - they run fine on C tracks.
To ballast my C tracks, I use Busch 7069 - a special ballast for C tracks.

Wow! That's great Steven. Lots of coaches there. Will you run them all behind your V200, or just the German ones? |

I received today the last of the coaches I bought recently on ebay.
I now have 3 1st class SNCF coaches (4161) and 3 NS coaches. The 3 NS coaches were advertised as catalogue number 4265s, but in fact one of them turned out to be a 42651 which has a bicycle/luggage compartment. Even better!
Photos soon. |

OK, I got both of my new rakes on the layout. First is the Dutch set, which consists of three second class coaches, two 4265: and one 42651. Note the cycle compartment at the end: ...and then there is the French set, which consists of three identical 4161 first class coaches: |
