Hi all
Thanks for that hemmerich is always good to hear from someone closer to marklin, but the cards will make the changing of a loco very quick and simple beyond the first 10 and thats functionality.
so far as support we find that internet opens us for us a great ability to communicate
back and forth with customers regardless of where they are,it doesn't matter nev if they are in aust or south island or
denmark, scotland the states to me,its just another customer wanting help.
we use it all the time, sometimes we send photos, and sometimes the questions are very basic
but thats where people are at,and by response we have found people get used to being able to
shoot a question knowing they will get an answer.
so far as backups again the internet just closes that gap, coming from 20 years in computers
its just second nature to pull down upgrades and that is the nature of the modern digital world,
it changes so fast, marklin design best at today's stage, but then intel comes out with a new chip and it blows everything
before out of the water, and what a manafacturer didn't think they could do cost wise, suddenly becomes possible.
and all folks coming into digital model railways need to understand this, like their computer 2 years is a long time in
electronics, but it brings a realism that even 5 years ago we dreamed about.
just yesterday i had a grandad and grandson in the shop hearing a digital sound loco for the first time they were
just blown away at how real model trains are now and MS2 is going to make that happen economically for many.
well im off to sleep they say we are getting snow dowm to 300 tonight so could be fun tomorrow
they come looking for trains
regards
