Hello!
Today I compiled some pictures of DB AG class 101.
The sun was behind some clouds when I shot this picture of 101 002 (July 13, 2008):

This is one of three pre-series locomotives. The pre-series were delivered in oriental red while the main series came in traffic red (oriental red has a shade of deep purple

).
Pre-series locos have no gap between the ventilation grills.
The loco already has the new UIC number on its side (printed so small that you can't read it).
It's a nice example of weathering, too; all marks on the loco had been cleaned by hand ...
No clouds when I shot this picture of 101 122 (July 13, 2008):

It's a main series loco (traffic red, gap between ventilation grills); it also has the new UIC number on the side.
(Sorry for the tree - maybe I should have extracted it some years ago.)
Here is 101 137, an ordinary main-series loco (April 29, 2008):

It was always traffic red, but the patches of new colour look brighter than the rest (yet another weathering example).
The train consists mainly of SBB coaches (it's coming from Switzerland).
Here's another pre-series loco, 101 001 (October 30, 2007):

It was repaired after an accident - and this side shows more new traffic red than old oriental red ...
Here is 101 135, caught in the act ... (October 3, 2007):

... of cleaning the wind screen.
This is 101 081 (September 9, 2007):

Several class 101 locos show this damage over the coupler - don't know for sure what caused this damage.
Here you see 101 097 (July 22, 2006):

Same damage over the coupler.
Two locos had a different livery for the Metropolitan. Here is 101 130 (March 31, 2004):

I don't know if the loco was painted silver or had just foils like most advertising locos.
The colour scheme reminds me of the Porsche locos (BR 152, BR 182).
