Hi, I have an older Marklin steam engine with analog, its numbers on the engine are 18-478. Any ideas or comments? (it's a metal shell) thanks |

Hi Randy,
It's a BR 18 of the Deutsche Bundebahn.Märklins reference number is 3091 or 3093.If you have the HAMO (=DC) version it could also be 8391 or 8393. The 3091 was delivered with a smoke generator. Hope this helps. BTW Märklins serial number can also be found on the cab most of the time.
Kind regards Guus

Yes, that is it, it does comes with a smoke generator, although I don't know if that works. I am looking to convert to digital, maybe even with sounds, any suggestions?
