Hi all,

As most of us already know, within a few weeks time the well known Modelrailroad meeting will take place in Göppingen.

My wife and I decided to go and I've just booked a hotel in the neighbourhood.

Who is also planning on a trip to the Modellbahn Treff?
I know you do Ron!

Would it be a nice idea to meet at the Insider stand-that's to say if there is one-for instance.

Please let me know.

Kind regards
Guus

Guus: There most assuredly will be an insider booth. Perhaps we can arrange a time. You there both days?

Hallo guys,
From 1999 I have never lost a meeting and this year I am gonna be there too! I am travelling with a friend of mine, also a modellrailroader.
I will stay all Saturday long and I am also planning to complete my visit on Sunday. It would be really nice to arrange a "Marklin-userstreff" during the "Modellbahntreff"!!!

See you in Goeppingen!!

For those of you going to Goppingen, please ask the "Insiders" at the booth why most of us here in the US have had our memberships messed up and why they never respond to E-mails!!

Thanks a bunch.... (a Scot in Wisconsin)

Have fun in Bavaria!!

Maurice - Goeppingen is in Bavaria? Hmm...I think Lutz and the rest of the people in Baden-Wuerttemberg might bristle at the thought!

So, for those of you attending previous years, how crowded is this event?

Have fun.

No, Goeppingen lies between Stuttgart and Ulm, in Baden-Wuerttemberg, western to Bavaria.
Anyway, this means that Goeppingen is not that far away from Bayern!
I hope some German members will make to the Modellbahntreff!!

Bye

I have booked an accomodation in a private flat in Esslingen some 20/25 km western to Goeppingen. I found it through this website: http://www.deutsche-pens...sion-stuttgart/home.html

You might also have a look here: http://www.stauferland.de/
On the left side you find: "Hotels und Gasthöfe" or "Ferienwohnungen". You can choose a town ("Orte") and it will show you all the accommodations there.

I hope this helps.

Hi Andrea and others,

my schedule for the weekend is planned already.
Saturday morning arriving by plane in Nuremberg, taking the train to Fürth for the 1000 year anniversary including a very large train show of steam locos and others.
In the evening by car to Stuttgart meeeting some friends and on Sunday I'll be the whole day around in Goeppingen. Taking a flight back from Stuttgart to Berlin late evening.
If the weather is fine you can`t miss me, as I most likeley will be wearing a shirt with "Märklin Insider Stammtisch Berlin" on the backSmile
Regard from Karachi

Hi all,

Great to see so many of you are attending the Treff!
Maybe we have to brainstorm a little on how we'll be recognised by eachother.

Just a proposal, but what if we'll meet at 2'o clock at the Insider booth, for instance.Would that be feasable?

What a nice video! Sweetest trains ever.

Could you tell a little about how you produce your excellent videos? Equipment, software and so on. Your modelrailroad-videos are bright, sharp and beautifull, while mine allways turn out dark and blurry. Perhaps in a seperate thread?
Best regards, Voller.

Sorry I can't make it this time!
I had booked tickets for the Modellbahntreff which was originally scheduled for May 2007 and since I could not change them I took the trip back then. Wonderful, unforgetable time since I visited the Nurnberg Train Museum as well as Maerklin World in Goeppingen and had an interesting meeting with Maerklin's Export Manager in the HQ.
I intended to travel again for the Modellbahntreff new date 15-16 September but our Prime Minister had a different view and he decided to announce elections for this weekend. Therefore I have to stay in Greece and vote instead of visiting Goeppingen. I promise however that next time, God helps us, my brother, my best man and I will all make it to Modellbahntreff.
Enjoy yourselves as much as you can!

Hi all,

I've been thinking ,how will we recognise eachother?I've seen photos of Ron and Alberto somewhere on these pages but I'm not sure of others.
Any ideas?Maybe we could all print "Marklin-Users" in a somewhat larger size on a piece of paper and stick it on our shirt or something like that.
