Alright, seeing as how there are about a bazillion different Marklin HO items that I would like to buy, I thought I'd share my top 5 with you all.... (in no particular order)
1. 3556 "Techno-schau" Croc 2. 26724/28724 Seetal Croc set with cattle cars 3. 39352/39835 Porsche Elok (big Porsche fan here) 4. 37196 Elok 5. 37512 Elok set
3-5 are pretty easy to get. I have only seen one (1) 3556 Techno-schau croc and only one (1) 26724 for sale over the last few weeks so I assume these are pretty scare and mucho dineiro!
What are your top 5?

1. A Swiss croc. Preferably metal but not the 3015 - too crude. Maybe a 3652 I've got my eye on. 2. A large tank engine. Br78 or Br85 - I love their chunky looks. I've seen a nice 3703 I might get. 3. A Br50 with the cabin tender. 4. A Br01 or 01.10. 5. A Dutch electric, maybe the 1100 in blue, if I can find one.
I would prefer them to have digital or delta decoders of some sort so I don't have to do the conversion straight away to run them on my layout. They don't need to have sound, though I like the "horn" or "whistle" if so fitted. I wouldn't go to the trouble of retro-fitting a sound decoder.

1. Märklin G12 and/or G10 of the K.P.E.V. (hopefully somewhere in the future) 2. Trix Fine Art 42234, this Trix loco was released in a very small number as an AC version equipped with a Delta decoder. It's a Saxon Class XV HTV loco, system Meyer. 3. Märklin six axle SSML flat car of the K.Bay.Sts.B. (hopefully somewhere in the future) 4. Märklin 26960 5. Trix Fine Art 42222, production story like the 42234, a Sächsische XVIII H. Of course there are more models I like, but these are the most special and rare ones. (And thus the ones I don't really expect to own once, more like wishes forever. ) |

A Belgian Class 59 diesel locomotive. Some belgian cars. ... Hard to find something else that I like in Märklin range of products according to my fields of interests (Belgium and North America) So, il will probably buy more locomotives from Mehano and/or Roco. Pierre.

Just a minor addition to what's said above: the set does not contain a Swiss Seetal Croc (37521 or 37522) but a Bavarian (EG 2 x 2/2) which looks a little like a croc. |

More Orange/White Eurofimas - how about another run of the SNCF/SNCB examples to go with the new CC 40100 that's planned for this year? Would only need them to dust off the old tooling and I'm sure they'd sell.
Currently trawling ebay for the older production runs of these coaches - snag is, not all of the older models had close coupling, which I've decided is pretty much essential for modern passenger stock! |

I'm more or less speculating/hoping Märklin will issue a TEE version of the new Re 4/4 I.
That one will be high on my wishlist.
I hope to find two models no longer manufactured, like the 37343 Re 4/4 II TEE and the C-sine version of the Ae 6/6 the 39361.
I'm very curious what Märklin has in mind for 2007.Judging by the items already announced it looks like its becoming a very exciting year.

My Märklin list for the coming 7 years;
What I would like to buy, but will definatly not do; 1) The new E110 with a string of the new 1:93,5 coaches. 2) The new BR01 likewise with another string of more 1:93,5 coaches. 3) TT3 with coaches ("Langenschwalbacher"?) 4) The new swiss Re 4/4 loco with a string of its new leichtstahlwagen. 5) Definatly some freight train to counter the above passenger trains ;-)
What I probably WILL be buying; 1) 26 slim K-switches. Half of them with motors and all of them with lanterns. 2) 5 packs of 2205*10 flextrack. 3) 2 packs of 10pcs slim curved section for slim switches. 4) 4 packs of 10pcs straight tracks. 5) 4 expansion packs for the turntable.
During this time many non-Märklin products will (have to) be bought too... |

I'd pick to the following locomotives:
37060 K. Bay. EP 3/6 39221 DRG E94 3769 DRG E19 37362 SBB Ae 6/6 set 39700 SBB RAm TEE
but I'm more likely to acquire 26534 SBB Re 4/4 with the lightweight steel cars and 37512 SBB Ae 3/6 set before any of the above ones.
On the wishful thinking list are:

At the moment I can't really see what I could add to my US layout theme, as far as rolling stuff is concerned. Eventually I am interested in the following items, in arbitrary order:
1. 45650 PRR Box Car set 2. Proto 2000 0-8-0 steamer (for AC conversion) 3. Frateschi PRR coaches 4. 1 or 2 (Modeltrain) 4-axle flat cars 5. Decision about CS, Ecos, and other digital add-ons, but I am not in a hurry with that.

1. PRR passenger cars to match the Marklin GG1. 2. Swiss be 6/8 II crocodile of the second series. This is the one that Marklin made in gauge I. It has the triangular driving rod linkage near the front that the Be 6/8 III does not have. 3. Norwegian passenger cars to match the Marklin Norwegian NOHAB diesels. 4. Swiss Be 4/6 II Gotthard Era II electric locomotive. 5. French TGV and/or Atlantique unit train.

I would like to have a Northlander, but of the original one, $2000 US is just too much money for a plastic train. maybe someday the second edition with the F7. at least the F7 part is metal. and not really an HO marklin item, but one of these new 1/35 Dora railway guns (and would probably need a house addition for it too) http://modelers-paradise...a35/dorarailwaygun35.htm

I have one of the older Leopold K5 RR guns by Lima. I've not bothered to see how it scales to the real one, but it seems to be small. It would be nice for someone to make a high quality one in HO with stuff like photoetch rails etc, and turned aluminum barrel just like the 1/35 armor modelers have got. Reynaulds Euro Imports says they can make or sell you a HO Dora - but it is even more expensive than this 1/35 model (only $2500 US!).

Today I found a second hand, mint condition 3469 DRG E19 so I can strike 3769 from my wishlist Also, a second hand, mint ( edit: well nearly mint now that I see the pics [|)]) condition 3067(10) MY 1101 with fx decoder installed by previous owner found it's way to my track Total cost at a local dealer: € 400,- which means I got two icons for the same price as the new 39010 - I am most pleased [^] Edit: Now with pics of the NOHAB |

I personally would love to get a consist of Marklin 4242 and 4243 for my three NSB NOHABS. There are VERY hard to find from my experience despite of their modest value in KOLLs catalog. I bid on one 4243 on eBay last year and it went to another bidder for $45+ (plus $8 USD for shipping). Do you see these often in Europe? May be not I guess. Regards, Troy [:I] |

Hmm,
1) a beautiful 4 unit burgundy Thalys 2) Catenary maintenance vehicle with piexo electric elements 3) a blue Rhaetian Railway croc <in HO not in narrow HO> 4) A matched pair of SBB Re4/4 IIIs in "Zugkraft Aargau" livery 5) A SBB 460 postal set with matching loco, wagons and vehicles.
