Maybe a photo collection of the boxes one by one is in place? Or maybe it allready excists? Does anybody know about replacement boxes or something for 3308 and 3309? They came in some strange transparent/blue plastic boxes that turn yellow and fall apart. I have temporarely tried to fix them with good tape, but it lasts only for a short time. Fortunately the tape is removable.

I went to the first dedicated Märklin shop in Holland which was opended on Dec. 1 in Utrecht. Just imagine that, a shop which sells nothing but Märklin (well, and Trix). Endless rows of white boxes wherever you look. Very impressive. Now, just imagine all those boxes being light blue.... </font id="Verdana]

However, the back part of the roof is Santa-Fe, not UP-style [some detail parts are missing; seem to remember something about passenger (SF) vs freight (UP) diesel, but not sufficiently interested to remember it exactly]. Markus Schild has told me recently that most or all of Märklin's artists who designed the catalogs and boxes were originally from Austria. I simply suppose they have been dead for quite some time, or some may still enjoy their retirement days. Hans

I BELIEVE which of course means that I do nor know for sure that this box was used for a couple of other sets as well, namely numbers 3135 (Italian train set with loco 3035), 3214 (Swiss train set with loco 3014), 3134 (German train set) and may be also 3205 (steam loco 3005) train set. The reason why I believe this is that there are five locomotives pictured on the box, the ones fitting the appropriate train sets. I have a couple of unboxed engines which I would dearly like to keep in a proper Marklin box, but how does one go about obtaining them? Can I order them through someone like Lokshop? If so, how do I obtain the part numbers? If anyone can supply answers I would be very grateful. Ray
		Ray Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.
