Joined: 25/07/2001(UTC) Posts: 11,165		I was indeed lucky, but unfortunately I sold the RET400 and 3 Swiss metal coaches from the 50:s saved at the same time (2 had opening doors, controlled by a knob on the roof) to a German guy about 10 years ago... Those are worth a lot nowadays, but not this rather common 3002... It has a few scratches on the roof, but the box is original (loco wrapped in "well-carton") an the original plastic clear tires... Like Zora's green one, it's not worth a lot but it is fun to have...

This photo shows it 20 or 30 years ago: Here a newer one with a typical 1960's freight train: Freight action in the Alps, on 5 % grades (a typical gator task, isn't it? ). Eventally you may recognize the mountain range around Oberstdorf in the background. With another train: Here an interior view. The loco is from 1962 and still in completely original state (well, it has consumed lots of motor brushes, traction tyres, and ski contacts with the years). As you can see, the motor shields still had no lubrication sponge at that time, and brush holders without brass valves. Also the relay has a special feature: an additional screw to adjust the spring tension. Newer relays have a brass tongue that can be bent. Hans Martin
