It's to bad that some head honco thought modern graphics would be better. They are certainly less expensive to produce then the wonderful drawings, but they don't instill the beauty of the product. Joined: 10/07/2002(UTC) Posts: 3,299 Location: Patagonia		Well John, here the pictures: This BR81 was a real bargain, she is absolutely mint, i think she has never run out of the box, i have another one without box for use, this i think that i will keep it that way. The BR23 however is another history, i found it almost destroyed (archived topic here) and now with the proper parts almost done with the restauration, only have to put the pipes on it, the front bumpers, the lampestangen and the front coupler wich is on the way now. Inopereative by now, since she has a new 60903 high efficiency engine and waiting for the proper loksound mfx to come.... Of course the box was founded after the loco....

I then asked our Sons for their old Marklins from the early 1980s, serviced them, and they worked like new !!! Thus I decided to let 'em untouched and build a level only for those beauties [:p] With today's constantly changing values I just like such ... Have fun with your newly discovered "old" toys. And give us some pics, John p.s.: For removing rust from M-track BALLISTOL Gun Oil and a stiff brush made of brass work best [^]

After digitalising almost everything I discovered that driving wasn't that smooth anymore. The "feeling" with the lok was gone,electronics had taken over my brain. Than I decided to "play" with my old models (analog) and "model" with the newer ones. My 3600 track is prewar! So yes there are three rails Bart
