Recently I have installed and repaired all the smoke units on my steam loks Cool However, which I brought new, with my 33185 (K BAY 3/6) there is little smoke. It did not come with one originally and I installed a Seuthe #20 unit as my layout is analogue, a Seuthe #24 is recommended for digital as per the instruction book that came with it. I know it makes contact as it makes some smoke and I can feel it touch the contact when I reinstall the body. Could it be the smoke unit is defective? My best smoker is my 33911 (BR 03.10). As a side note I believe every steam lok should smoke and be factory equipped considering Marklin makes a premium product and charges premium prices. Thanks in advance - Fred.

My experience with analog loks is that it takes a lot of speed to make them smoke to any great degree. The unit responds best to full voltage!

Voltage is good!

Also, don't fill the unit to the top with smoke fluid. Fill it to 75% maximum, otherwise it won't smoke.

Thanks for the replies however I know the speed is not at fault since it is running at or more the speed where other loks work. The most fluid I have put in is 5 drops.
