This is a question for the Au/NZ crowd I guess.

I'm going to order a 60653 MS2 from Germany.
My question is will the 66361 work here in Au (it is rated for 230volts).

The deal I am getting includes 60653, 60113, 66361, for 127Euro (including postage).
This price can't be matched here locally.

The only other extra information I have about the 66361 is:
66361: Switching Power Supply 36VA.
PRI 230 V - 50-60 Hz
SEC 18 VDC - 36 VA
For dry rooms only - INDOOR USE ONLY

Cheers,
And many thanks for all of the help I have already recieved so far.
Marc.

Hi Marc,

It should be fine in either NZ or Aus. Give me an hour or so as we've just got some visitors and I'll check my 60va Trafo. My turntable stroboscope is for 50hz so it should be fine.

Kind Regards,

Daniell

EDIT: My Traffo 230v 50/60 HZ so you should be fine. You may need to use adapter or jet a new plug placed on it though.

Thanks Daniell.

I'll purchase it tomorrow after the mortgage repayment comes out of my account. Cool Laugh

Cheers,
Marc.

P.S. I know I'll need an adapter.

Hi Marc,

You look fine with that Trafo. Our dealer in Wellington also fixes TVs as his main business and he put Kiwi/Aus plugs on our trafos before he gave them to us if they weren't already there. Any local electrical repair shop should be able to do that for you at a hopefully nominal charge! It saves having ugly adapters and solves any potential phase reversing problems if you plug it in the adapter upside down! So glad we don't have that problem down here!

Kind regards,

Daniell

Thanks again Daniell.

In regards about an adapter, there is no way around it. If it was a suspended step-down, then yes I would just fit a new plug. But since the transformer is at the plug, I got no other choice.

Have a good week.
Marc.

I attached a pic for reference.

Perhaps it's going back to school next week blues! Hard to believe its my last year!

Have a good week too, you'll certainly be busy with a little one around the house!
