I have a Heljan Container Crane Nev, I seem to remember that there were specific bases to use with C Track, but they were only available in Germany and not imported into the UK and elsewhere.

I think the crane is discontinued now, I got mine maybe 3 years ago. The add-ons and containers are now difficult to find.

I have not set mine up permanently yet, because my layout exists only in my mind! I think, however, that it would be best to use K Track in the base because of the reduced rail height from C Track.

Regards
Ashley

THanks AShley,
I am going to use K Track but I believe that you have to do a lot of carefull cutting to the base plate cover.

Goofy, I have a feeling the decoder is DCC only. I think I read that somewhere.

I just looked at the review if the crane in the january '07 issue of Model rail, where it says that the crane is fully compatible with DCC and M* digitalThumpUp
