As the pick up shoe crosses the contact on the top it makes a connection to the track current, which wire get the current is determined by the direction of travel. the wires can go to an S88 or even a signal in analog mode.

Hello Charles,

Think of the blue wires as you seen them on the Turnouts. The contact Track works like this:
A brown wire from the Contact track is hooked up to the ground ( outer rail )one blue wire switches what ever you hooked up to it ( same as a 72720 )in one direction, the other blue wire is the same but for the other direction.
Did your Contact Track not come with Instruction ???

Hello Hoffmann. Yes the track did come whit instructions but it just shows you the two blue wires attached to the 24194 but not were to connect the other ends.
I am sorry I do not know what a 6600 is.

Hi Charles,

Here it goes the Circuit track is simply a Microswitch (Toggle switch on/off) when the Locomotive slider runs over it, it switches to "on" momentarly. You can activate with this a Turnout or Signal etc. As I said it just acts like the button on the 72720 Controlbox. If you are using the Central Station to control your Train in Shuttle mode you need a Contact track (like the 24194 ) and a S88 Feedback Module which is connected to the Central Station.
This was all ready mentioned here on this Forum ( look up " help with shuttle trains-solved " ).
