Hi,
have anyone tryed to make a contact track, similar to marklin 24995?.Just cut the rail on 2 places ,5 cm between ,with a thin cutting disc.Solder the cable on the isolated track piece.?
The 24995 works great but are too expencive.
The Marklin Contact Track 24994, is unstable and sometimes fails.Maybe due to dirt.

You don't need to cut the rail, just cut the links between the two rails under the track, and use the red C track insulators on the side you want to isolate. Then make the connection to the appropriate tab under the track, no soldering to the rail itself, which risks damaging the roadbed.

I use circuit tracks for most events and not had any problems. They can be used in one or both directions.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Hello,

I use the method outlined on page 6 of the attached Digital Newsletter. Very easy and works great.

Hope this helps.
