Good Morning all,

I require a spare parts diagram for the transfer table 7294, I think this table is about 30 odd years old, there are 4 very small bronze bearings on the drive train in the drive cab & last weekend I noticed that 2 of them were missing. Amazing what you find wrong with 2nd hand items. The M spares list only shows the wiring diagram & no blown up itemised parts list. Can any one help me out regarding the part list or even have a spare bearing lurking around in their spars draw.

Thanks in advance,
Tom in Oz where the temp today will be in the high 30's C.

Hello Markus,

Can you also supply the number for the combined worm and pinion gear on the same axle please?

Hi Ross,

I know two numbers for gears of the 7294:
416750 - ZAHNRAD 4,99 €
416740 - ZAHNRAD 4,99 €

Unfortunately I don't know exactly which gears these are.

No, there is no further or more detailed list published.

Regards

Markus

Hello Markus,

Thanks for the numbers re the gears. I use my transfer table alot and I'm on to my second unit as the gears, motor and contacts wore out on my first transfer table.

Thanks very much Markus , i didnt realise that the 2 gearshafts that transfer movement to the final shaft had different gear ratio's or am i being just a mere male & wrong again. If they are different, which worm shaft goes where in relation to the motor cog ? It would be nice to have access to all these enlarged diagrams of spare parts to make it easy to order older replacement parts for those who have the courage & knowledge to do their own repairs.

Regards

Tom in Oz.

Hi Tom,

The housing uses two combined worm and pinion gears and they are the same.

I noticed you online now, are you at work (big trains) or home with the (little trains)?

Hi Ross,
At home at the present time , just up from a Nana nap before hitting the slave train at Midnight tonight. The last few weeks I have had the urge to do some construction on the layout, [\maybe after I had the big splurge while in Europe I developed a guilty conscience. I wonder why there is 2 different part no's in the reply from Marcus to you, different versions of the 7294 maybe?

Hi Tom,

The 7294 has also gears outside the motor-house. I will try to find out which parts belongs to the motor.

Hi Tom,

For what it's worth, I'd also check out Sb Modellbau, they produce a number of conversion kits to improve a wide range of products and I see they appear to have a motor kit for the 7294 but whether it includes all you need I'm not sure, could pay to drop them a line - here's the 7294 motor kit link....

I would not normally resurrect an old thread, but this one has two of the three part numbers I need to repair my Transfer Table 7294.

Could someone please provide the part number for the drive shaft that passes through the motor-house and drives the carriage across the Transfer Table.

Hi Markus,

Thanks for your prompt reply, only drawback is the 49.95 Euro shipping charge to Australia from the Marklin Online Shop. If you have any suggestions for alternate places to purchase these spare parts, I would greatly appreciate it.

Try "Toot Toot'" in NZ . They helped me out with the bearings I was after, very quick service . Or try Noel in Brissy but not sure what his spare parts stock is like.

Tom in Oz

gee the %0 Euro is a bit steep ,parcel post small box is $13 euro for memory & Im sure the part you are after would leave plenty of space in the box for a few wagons.

You can order through the Brisbane dealer. The website is http://www.trainsntoys.com.au or there is toot-toot in New Zealand see http://www.toottoot.co.nz . They will take a long time to get the part if they don't already have it in stock, but the freight, if any, will be way less than 50 euro.. Huh

Update - what Tom said - curses on those touch typists!

The question now is are you going to run ELoc's on the table using catenary ? If so you will also need the support pillars, the special catenary piece & the end pieces for the tracks that join the table , I have all but the small end pieces & have never seen the end pieces appear for sale on ebay by themselves . Does any one know what the part number is for these ?

Much appreciated in advance,

Tom in Oz.

I was hoping to get my Transfer Table operational before Christmas. So I had already contacted Noel of Trains N Toys, but he could not assure me of delivery before Christmas of items not in stock.

Toottoot's website indicates that they have the bearings in stock. So once that is confirmed, I will order them and maybe that will get the Transfer Table operational, as currently there is only one bearing installed.

Again thanks for your prompt and very helpful replies.

Kind Regards

Python & Tom,

If you have your transfer tables accessible, can you post some detail photos of the mechanism showing the missing or worn parts?, with the numbers that Markus has provided it could be helpful to match the numbers with the parts showing for others to refer to, and I'd like to add it to my parts sheet for the item.

Cheers

Steve
