Well, I had a little time to kill today so I went on the 'bay in Germany and looked over the all the HO loks. I have come to the alarming conclusion that there are just too many loks that I want for my own good!

I thought to myself that I should start a wish list of all the M items I would like to acquire, but then I figured I would just get somewhat depressed because there is no way I would ever (at least foreseeably) be able to possess them all-

1) I currently don't have enough room to store all the stuff I have now, let alone a bazillion new M items.
2) I have not won the lottery (as far as I know) so convincing the FD to let me have everything shall be tedious at best.

Oh well! Guess I'll have to do the best I can! If only there weren't so many nice ones out there!!!!!!

I can relate to that Jim.

There are just too many nice MRR items on the market.

I've tried to restrict my field of interest to SBB and a just a little bit of Era III DB loks- and only from brands like Märklin and HAG-,but even then there is just too much stuff around.

biggrin
Kind regards,
Guus

I agree - eBay is to blame! biggrin

Every year in December I do the same listing for the following year, and i always end up sitting with items that AREN'T EVEN CLOSE to the listed stuff in MAY!

This year i'm closing in June after the visit to HAG [xx(]

I was actually fine just looking at Ebay US. Limited number of selections, something unique every now and then, but nothing terribly outrageous, and not a lot to choose from... Then someone, not so long ago, said check out Ebay Germany. That's when I realized that there isn't enough time/money/space! I curse that person who said, "Visit Ebay.de Grasshopper..."! Fortunately, I can't remember who first turned me on to Ebay.de. [}:)]

P.S. It was probably my own inquisitiveness that led me to find Ebay.de- really not that hard, and I shouldn't be placing blame on anyone but myself!!! [:o)]

I was looking at Ebay.de today and noticed something interesting, well for me anyway.
Usually there are more Wechelstrom (AC) Loks than Gleichstrom (DC), but today at 14.44 European time there were exactly 4987 each![:0]

What are the chances of that happening?

Cheers,

Peter.

P.S. Next time you're on there ignore all the ones that don't take Pay Pal and won't post worldwide, that will whittle it down to more manageable proportions.wink
