Anyone know this little train ?
http://www.weinert-modellbau.de/index.htm
On page 59 of their online catalog. Number 4626-3 / 4626-D-3
4626-3 is for AC analogue, 4626-D-3 is for AC digital.
Anyone with onhand experience with either of them ?
One of my local dealers has the analogue version, says i can get it at a good price, so i'm thinking about buying it, and install a LokPilot micro or semilar, but would be a lot easier to buy the digital one.
Is it possible to fit a decoder in it, or should i just forget it, and pay up for the digital version ?

Those Weinert kits look like a lot of fun, but are they as expensive as they look?

I know it's a kit, but the one my dealer has on stock has been assembled, but lacks a decoder, so would have to disassemble some of it, and reassemble it.
The normal price is around 250 Euro, so it's not cheap.
I'm not sure how cheap he would let me have it, probable around 200 Euro.

I remember the 1:1 version. My Dad used to head a working gang that had one to get around on their tracks. Later they upgraded to the large KVL, which I have on my layout (BRAWA) (AC Dig).

These things are a cute addition to any layout - but you need to build a little area as their base, with shed, workshop, car park, canteen...

Regards,
Arthur

My dealer also has the bigger Brawa, but i just think the little Weinert is so cute :)
Already planing for a base for it's operations.
But back ontopic, doesn't anyone have some kind of experience with either the analogue og the digital version of it ?
